Shiver [Min Yoongi]

Chapter 7

A few weeks had passed. Yoongi texted you often, always wanting to see you again. He had been over once more since the last dinner, but it was still just as awkward with Jae around. He wasn't rude to Yoongi or anything, Jae was just a little uncomfortable having Yoongi over, and with good reason.

Minah absolutely loved Yoongi, which you were happy about. She was so well behaved with him, which surprised you. But what surprised you more was how much Yoongi enjoyed being with Minah.

He always wanted to hold her, and got really excited when she was getting tired for a nap, since she would get really cuddly. Yoongi would get a huge smile on his face when he saw Minah yawning, scooping her up in his arms and laying on the couch with her on his chest, until they both fell asleep.

Jae would get a little jealous when he saw Yoongi with Minah like that, since she would never fall asleep on Jae the way she did on Yoongi. But you always told him not to worry, that Minah would warm up to Jae like that eventually.

One Saturday, Jae went out to lunch with a few friends, so you decided to take Minah on a walk. You changed her clothes and got her diaper bag ready, putting everything in the stroller pouch. You wanted to ask Yoongi if he could come too, missing his company. "He's probably busy..." You thought out loud. 

Minah gurgled a bit and smiled from hearing your voice. You looked at her and smiled back, deciding to call Yoongi. The phone rang only once before he picked up. "Hey, what's up?" He asked. You could hear the smile in his voice.

"I was going to take Minah for a walk before her nap, I was wondering if you had some free time to go with us?" You asked, biting your lip. You felt butterflies in your stomach, the feeling you used to get when you first met Yoongi.

"Yeah, I can take a break. I'll meet you at the park." He said excitedly before hanging up. You couldn't stop smiling, noticing how happy you were when you spent time with Yoongi lately.

After putting Minah in the stroller, you walked out the door and made your way to the park down the street. Yoongi was waiting there already, waving as you approached. You smiled at him as he gave you a quick hug, now your normal greeting with him. He then leaned down and said hello to Minah, playing with her hand for a moment.

"How have you been?" He asked, knowing that you haven't been getting that much sleep lately. You shrugged, walking down the path with Yoongi. It was quiet for a bit between the two of you, the sound of the stroller against the sidewalk filling your ears.

Yoongi was walking close to you, your shoulders brushing against one another. "Are you ok?" He asked. "You look sad." He continued. You shook your head, not noticing that you had a frown. You didn't say anything, just smiled at him.

Then the rest of the walk was quiet. Yoongi walked you back to your apartment, noticing that Minah fell asleep in her stroller. "Can I put her in her crib?" He asked. You noticed the little glint in his eye as he looked down at Minah, making your heart flutter. "Yeah of course. Try not to wake her up, she needs a good nap." You smiled.

Yoongi picked her up carefully and walked to her room as you put the stroller away and waited on the couch. He walked back out a few minutes later, a puzzled look on his face. "What's wrong?" You asked as he sat down next to you.

"I opened the little music box next to her crib..." He started, referring to the 'Young Forever' lullaby.* "I didn't know you still listened to our songs..." He said, looking up at you. "I do...and Minah really likes the song too." You told him, seeing the corner of his mouth move up a little.

It was quiet again. Yoongi moved a little closer to you, and you to him, until your legs were touching. You felt butterflies in your stomach again, a blush starting to form on your cheeks. But you still felt a little sad in the back of your mind.

All of a sudden Yoongi took your hand in his. "Y-Yoon-" You started, taken off guard. But he interrupted you. "I know that you moved on..." He started off strong, but trailed off, looking down. You gulped, feeling extremely nervous all of a sudden.

"I know that you found Jae, that you had Minah..."He continued, squeezing your hand a little when he mentioned your daughter. "I know that you went on with your life, but I still love you." Yoongi confessed, looking up to meet your eyes. "Seeing you so happy with Jae and Minah makes me happy for you, but I can't help feeling regret, and I'm sorry-" He tried to continue, but you cut him off with a kiss.

*Yoongi POV*

As soon as he felt her lips on his, the lips he missed so much, he couldn't help but let out a deep sigh, his eyelids fluttering. He felt like he had been holding his breath these past few weeks, but after finally feeling her kiss him, something he missed so much, it felt like he could finally breathe again.

He mumbled her name between his lips, feeling her hands grip his shoulders as he pushed her back on the couch. He pulled away slightly, only to continue giving her little butterfly kisses from her lips to the bottom of her neck. "Yoongi-" He heard her whisper. He just mumbled into her skin and continued what he was doing. His heart was beating quickly, feeling like a weight was lifted off his chest as soon as she whispered his name.

But then, she pushed him off a bit. Yoongi sat up, a little upset. "I...I have to tell you something." She started, sitting back up on the couch in front of Yoongi. He watched as she looked down the hall towards the nursery, then back to him.

He sat there nervously, not knowing what she was going to say. "It's about Minah...." She trailed off, looking at her hands in his. He squeezed her hands lightly, patiently waiting for what she had to say.

"Yoongi, Minah is-"

But then the door unlocked. Jae walked in and Yoongi quickly took his hands from hers before Jae saw. "Oh, hey Yoongi." Jae smiled, greeting him before walking over to his girlfriend, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Hi. Um, I should be getting back to work now." Yoongi said quickly, feeling nervous all of a sudden. He looked back to see if she was going to continue what she was saying before Jae walked in. 

"I'll tell you later." She told him, not meeting his eyes. Yoongi nodded ,saying a quick goodbye to both of them before he walked to the door. He wanted to stay, to be with her, but he knew it was wrong.

He walked out the door, heading back to his place. As soon as he got there he walked straight to the studio, flopping down in his chair. Yoongi let his head fall in his hands, hearing his heartbeat ring in his ears.

He didn't know how to feel. He was more than happy that she kissed him, that she returned his feelings. But he knew what they did was wrong. It was only a simple kiss. But now, it complicated everything.

Yoongi gripped his hair tightly, thinking of her and Minah while sighing again.

"But what was she going to tell me?"
