This was about to be the hardest thing I ever did. I pulled up to the curb of the house I knew by heart. I looked at it, how peaceful the neighborhood was and how quiet the house looked.
With a deep breath, I turn the car off, opening the door and walking through the pouring rain to the front door. Tears already began to soak my cheeks, and the rain made my hair soaking wet, but I didn't seem to care.
With my shaking hands, I knocked on the door. My heart was racing in my chest, and each second that past made it beat faster. I hear noises inside, and hope fills my heart.
The door opens, and Aaron looks at me with a confused look. He takes in my soaking clothes, and the tears still streaming down my face.
"Luna..?" he begins to say. His confused look turns to one of care, "your gonna catch a cold.."
"I was wrong, I was so wrong," I mumble out, before I rush forward and take his face in my hands. I press my lips to his and he takes a step back to keep his balance.
He is shocked at first, but as realization sets in, he kisses me back. His hands grip my hips tightly, pressing my whole body into his. His eyes close with the longing of wanting this to happen.
I pull away, his lips not wanting to and following mine a little.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so so so sorry, it was you the whole time, it's always been you.." I mutter over and over again.
"Luna," he whispers to me, "I've never stopped loving you." He smiles so big, making me smile even more.
"It was always you," I whisper, as he presses his lips back to mine. I smile against his kiss, loving the feeling of being his once again.

"'Local racer quits racing for good'," Aaron reads off the paper, "that's quite a headline."
He sets down the paper as I walk back to the table in Starbucks where he was, holding two cups of coffee in my hand. I set one down in front of him.
I shrug to him, "I wanted to go out with a bang."
He laughs at me, and I laugh with him. As my laugh dies down, I take a sip of my latte.
Aaron leans forward to me.
"Then what were you planning on doing in the future?" he asks, even though he has heard me tell him time after time.
I smile and think to myself.
"I was planning on focusing on my schoolwork, maybe going to college, getting a perfect job, and spending as much time as possible with the one I love."
His grin is back on his face, and reaches across and holds my hand over the table.
"Sounds perfect."
