~~ I just want to say that my co-writer(s) arent working with me anymore so after the next few chapters there are going to be longer ones since I'm taking over. However it'll be a while because I need to go back and read everything that's happened so far. Anyway this chapter is a bit longer, but still fairly short, I promise a really long one is coming up soon

I went and sat by the others. I plopped down close to Dilan, considering it was the only open spot. I left some space between us though. I kept my head low. My mind raced deep in concentration. I had to stay focus. Something was up, and I needed to know what. My gaze was low, but focus on the adults even though I had my eyes aimed in front of me at the conversation that I was meant to be taking part in.

I focused my hearing on my father's voice. His, along with Mr. Stark's, was the easiest to pick up due to how strongly they spoke. Unfortunately all I could hear were the varying pitches and tones used as words that were delicately strung became murmurs and mumbles as they reached my ears.

"Whatcha doing?" a light voice ask, with a light tap on my shoulder. I turned to look at Stefan's little sister. She looked at me with questioning eyes.

"Uh, nothing," I said, trying to keep her occupied while I focused harder, directing my ears towards the mass of alphas.

"Sure doesn't look like it," she said with a toothy grin. I looked at her annoyed that she wouldn't let up.

"Don't you have an older brother to pester?" I asked, coming out harsher than I intended. "Sorry," I counter back when I saw her shrink a little. "I'm just trying to stay focused. Something important is happening today." I sighed.

"Really, what?" she asked, a little too excitedly.

"I don't know, that's what I'm trying to find out." I let out another sigh. "So where's your brother?"

"Over there, being a nuisance as always." I nodded in agreement when I saw him with his feet up on the coffee table. Something I'm sure wasn't very appreciated by his father. I rested my elbows on my knees before resting my chin in the palms of my hands. At least I had a little bit of time to think before the meeting started.
