"Hannah. She was an amazing girl.
Kind, caring, honest. I just-
we-
she was too young.
Too young to die. She had a bright future ahead of her."
The church went quiet. A few sniffles, but that was all.
"Would anyone else like to say anything about Hannah?" the priest asked.
People looked around but no volunteers.
"Uh yes. I would" I said clearing my throat and earning a few glares.
I walked over to the podium in front of the church. My black dress draped behind me.
Then, I began.
"Hannah was nice. Too nice.
She cared about others. She did everything to please them. Made them laugh, comforted them, helped them, and so on. She put them before herself.
That's a problem. You see, she needed help. She needed my help. She needed me. Her humanity made her weak. It was only going to get her hurt. I did what was best. Please try to understand. She's better off this way."
Everyone looked around. And then at each other. Whispers began. Gasps also.
Then I continued.
"It had to be done."
"Hi. I'm Isobel. And I'm the one who killed innocent, little Hannah."
Well, not so innocent anymore."
