Rainy days.

They're usually depressing because there's no sun, right?

Well that's not the only reason.

Peter Pan once said "To die would be an awful big adventure"

Well, he's right.

I wonder what my life would've been like if Isobel hadn't haunted me.

I bet both my parents would be alive.

Maybe even my sister.

Today, I decided to go to the cemetery. Again.

Since everyone has been getting on my nerves, dead people help.

"You know mom, I have my junior prom next week, and you were supposed to go dress shopping with me. Now what am I supposed to do?

All these girls in my grade, I mean their moms are going to buy them the most beautiful dress.

Please. Just please come back.

I miss you so much.

I wish-

Uh.

(Cried a little here)

I just wish you were here" I said wiping a tear.

I walked over to my dad's stone next.

"Hey dad. Long time no talk.

I've been getting good grades. My history is an A now.

And I haven't been ditching school.

I actually have a perfect attendance.

I-I just wish you were here to see my progress.

You'd be real proud," I said.

Even though my parents aren't here physically, doesn't mean they aren't here emotionally.

I know they're by my side. Watching over me.

I was walking out of the cemetery when I saw Hunter sitting down across the street in a different cemetery.

"Hunter!" I yelled.

He turned around and shouted my name back.

I crossed the street when I heard a beeping noise.

I looked over and saw a car speeding towards me.

This is it.

This is surely where I would join my parents in the grave.

Just before the car hit me, it stopped.

Right in front of the hand of Isobel herself.

It's like the drivers saw her hand and obeyed.

They stared at me (Or Isobel since she was in front of me) and continued driving away.

I looked at Isobel confused.

"How did you-" I was interrupted by Hunter.

"Hannah! Are you okay?!" he asked pulling me out of the street.

"Did you- Uh, Did you see that?"

"The car almost KILLING you, yes I did!" he said.

"How come it stopped?" I asked hoping he saw something.

"I- I don't know. I just saw it stop like 3 inches from your face" he said.

"Oh. Okay. Uh, so.." I asked.

Way to make it awkward.

"Let's get you home. Before you get into any more trouble" he said.

***************

Today was Emily's birthday.

She usually throws a huge party in some club out of the city.

We were going to travel in a car for four hours to Vegas.

She's turning 18.

More freedom for her.

Emily and I were going to ride with some other friends.

I think it was Violet, Sara, and Aubrey.

"Girls. Tonight is going to be the best night ever!" Emily shouted.

I think she was drunk from the Toyota Beer and Wine.

Sara was driving and I was in the passengers seat.

The rest were in the back.

The ride took longer than usual.

It was really dark now.

I saw a bunch of lights from different cars and signs.

Everyone was laughing and talking but I just focused on the window.

I counted the rocks in the mountain.

The lanes on the ground.

The clouds in the sky.

I blocked out everything.

I was admiring the sky when my head banged against the window and seat.

I heard screaming and crying.

I smelled blood and fear.

We were in a car accident.

For some reason, I didn't get hurt.

There were no cuts.

No blood.

No pain.

I looked around and realized the seat belt was holding me back.

I unbuckled and got out of the damaged car.

I walked over to the other side and saw everyone in the car.

Unconscious.

Bleeding.

Broken.

I didn't know what to do.

I didn't know how I survived.

Until I saw Isobel.

In the reflection of the car.
