"I'm sorry"

And then I turned my head to that man who bumped me.

Paused.

A sudden flashed of familiar memories...

Memories that supposed to be forgotten...

Memories we once shared...

Memories that will only be memories and nevermore...

"Hey, How are you?"

That man greeted me with his mysterious smile again and those eyes, I once captured by those eyes. I once a prisoner of those orbs. I once loved them.

How am I? I guess his question was too deep. I couldn't find exact words to answer.

That question made my heart beat the same old familiar rhythm again. Thousands of emotions flashed my mind.

I gave that man a smile. A smile that I'm not familiar with. That was not a smile of happiness nor sadness. That was a smile of uncertainty.

And then I looked at those eyes again.

"I'm doing fine" I answered.

"Good to hear that"

"Daddy!" Someone yelled and then that man turned his direction to that 3-year-old boy, if my guess was right.

"Hey, my big boy!" He greeted the child.

They both looked so good together. That little boy really looks like the man he called Dad.

Tears run down my face. I know I'm still in the process of healing. I know I can never forget that easy. I have loved that man so much before.

But maybe, just maybe. Things wouldn't workout the way we wanted to be no matter how we tried to fake our fate.

"Nice meeting you again" I whispered as I leave.
