Vylad's POV

Garroth, Travis and I spent most of last night hanging out. Travis even stayed over, due to the fact the two of them drunk quite a bit. I had the honor of watching the two grown men act like children. It was honestly hilarious seeing my older brother act so unlike himself.

Although now I have to deal with two hungover males. "Vylad" Travis groans from the bathroom. I crawled out of my bed, and stretched out my arms. I turn into the tiled room, a white haired male lurched over the toilet. My face scrunched when the smell of vomit hit me. Holding my breath I walked over to Travis.

I pulled back his hair, and tied it into a ponytail. He looked up at me and smiled, prices of hair falling back on to his face. "Thanks Vylad" he droned as I pat his back lightly.

I walked out of the bathroom towards the living room. My brother was resting his arms on the kitchen counter, the smell of coffee filling the open room.

"How are you doing Garroth" I asked resting my hand on his back. "Oh Vylad, I'm okay. Just have a really bad headache" he explained dark circles under his eyes. I simply nodded ruffling his curly locks. Garroth groaned smacking his head on the counter.

I chuckled, and the coffee maker beeped. Reaching up I tried to grab a mug. During  the process of me climbing onto the counter someone knocked on the door.

"Hey Garroth, can you get that. I'm in a bit of a predicament" I ask three mugs in my hands. I swear if he doesn't get up to answer the door he is dead to me. I slowly place the mugs down, attempting to somehow get back onto the floor.

The front door opened and a brunette was standing there. "Hey my name is Laurance, I just moved in next door, and I wanted to introduce myself" Laurance states to my unamused older brother.

"Of course a hot neighbor has to introduce himself when I'm hungover" Garroth says his voice dripping with sarcasm. The brunette looked down a blush forming on his face. "Should I come back later" Laurance blurred out gesturing to Garroth's lack of pants. I started to laugh, still hunched on the counter.

Garroth blushed and nodded his head, when a flushing noise came from the bathroom. This is gonna be great. Travis walked out rubbing his mouth. His hair still pulled back in a ponytail.

"Garroth, I need to borrow a shirt. Mine is covered in vomit... oh hey random guy in the doorway" Travis waved awkwardly and sat down at the island. I chuckled as the brunette started to walk away. "Vincent, we live next to alcoholics" Laurance shouted as an apartment door opened. Garroth shut our door and sighed "So much for first impressions"

"Hey, at least I didn't call him hot while not wearing pants" I joked jumping off the cabinets onto the floor. Travis laughed while I poured the coffee into the three mugs. Garroth simply flipped me off as I handed them the mugs.

"So Vylad, you planning on getting a job" Travis asks taking sips from his cup. "Of course I am, freeloading is not my style" assured them. "Well the book shop down the street from the YMCA I work at just got a opening. You can check there, heck I'll even drive you later today if you want" he stated.

"That would be amazing thanks Travis" I smile hugging him from across the island. "No, problem. Anything to help an old friend" I pulled away from him placing my mug into the empty sink.

"Wait you work at YMCA" Garroth added adjusting his glasses. Travis nodded "Yeah I'm a swimming instructor, I also teach acting lessons part time". Damn, Travis had his life figured out. I never would have thought, due to how shy he was in high school.

Garroth checked his phone, probably looking at the time. He sighed realizing it was already past noon. "Well I have to head to work soon" he sighed drinking the last drops of his coffee. "I'll be in the shower if you two need me" Garroth started jogging to the bathroom.

"Well if you need a shirt still there is one in my room that might fit you" I reminded him as I began walking to my room. The white haired boy followed me. I dug through my closet trying to find something that would fit him.

------------------------

"Garroth, we're going to head out. I'll text you when I get back home" I shout waiting for a reply.

"Ok see you later baby brother" Garroth yelled from his bedroom. I motioned for Travis to follow me. The two of us left the apartment and started for the elevator.

Once we got outside I followed Travis to his vehicle. Which so happened to be a motorbike, which had a small bag on it. He pulled out two helmets and climbed on. Tossing a helmet to me I felt my heart skip a beat.

The way he stared into my eyes gave me slight chills. "You coming or what" he smiled and I nodded. I strapped the helmet on securing it. I climbed on behind him and blushed a bit.

"You're gonna have to hold onto me unless you want to fall off" Travis snickered at my awkwardness. I took a deep breath and slowly wrapped my arms tightly around his waist.

The engine roared as we sped off. Buildings flew by causing me to get a little motion sickness. I nuzzled my head into his back trying to regain my composure. The ride lasted for another ten minutes before we slowly stopped. I unwrapped myself from Travis and carefully climbed off.

"So how was your first motorbike ride" Travis commented removing his helmet. "It was honestly so awesome" I answered running my hands through my hair.

"That's great, but maybe next time you won't crush my ribs" he proclaimed which earned him a punch to the arm. We chuckled and started our short walk to a small bookstore. The store's window still had a small help wanted sign. I held the door open for Travis and I followed him inside.

"Hey Donna, you here" Travis yelled and a girl with light brown hair appeared. "Hi Travis, who's this boy with you" she asked getting straight to the point. "Oh this is Vylad, Garroth's youngest brother" he pointed to me and I smiled.

"Hey Donna it's nice to meet you" I wave and she smiled softly. "Also Vylad here was wondering if he could get a job here" Travis implied wrapping an arm around my shoulders. The smile on Donna's face widened as she nodded. "Of course I would love to have another employee. Can you start tomorrow. I'll teach you and the boy your gonna be working with, everything you need to know" she explained grabbing an apron and name tag from a box. She handed me the objects and a marker. "You can write your name on the tag and it'll stay here. Since people have a tendency to lose them easily" Donna continued as I began to write my name on the small piece of plastic. I handed the three items back to her and she smiled. The two of us were about to leave when she stopped us.

"Also before you leave, the boy you'll be working with name is Dante. I just thought I'd let you know now" Donna waved and we said our goodbye.

Travis and I road back to my apartment building. We exchanged numbers and I waved as he sped off. Once back in the apartment building I dug through my bag trying to find my keys. I finally found them and let myself in. I threw my bag into the floor and found my diary laying on the coffee table.

I grabbed the new notebook that I had just bought, and began to write.

'Dear Diary,
I have just gotten my first job. I'm working at a small bookstore down the street form Garroth and I's apartment. I believe the store is called Wolf's Ear Books. Strange name I know. I ALSO HAD MY FIRST RIDE ON A MOTORBIKE. It was so much fun, all thanks to Travis. Sure, I got motion sickness and almost fell off multiple times but hey, I'm still alive. Well that's it for now diary I'll write soon.
