'Now Diary,When I say that moving is difficult I mean it. But when I say it's excruciating due to the fact we just got back from camping. I may be over exaggerating. Well I'm currently writing this on the car ride over to my new house. Dante and I are currently crammed into his old pickup truck. A few boxes of mine laying across the two of us.
We only have around five minutes left of the drive, but as soon as we get home I promised to pick up Nekoette from tutoring. Well diary I'm going to have to put you away for now. Write later!
- Sincerely Vylad Ro'Meave'
We pulled into the small townhouse's driveway, both of us sighing in relief. "Home" Dante mumbled as the two of us stepped out of the car. We both carried in the three boxes I had brought with me. Unlocking the front door proved to be difficult, since we could hardly carry the boxes. I placed my boxes on the kitchen counter and grabbed Dante's keys again. "I'm going to go pick up Nekoette" I explain running my fingers through my brown hair. "Okay, I'll see you later" Dante shouted as I walked out the door. I walked down the empty sidewalk towards the tutors house.
Once I arrived, I took a few seconds to examine the home. It was a small one story house, with a bright red door. The door contrasted nicely to the white siding and grey roof. Other than that the house was standard. My phone buzzed continuously causing me to snap out of my daze.
Neko-Tan flashed across my screen as I answered. "Hey dad, I mean Vylad! I was wondering if you were here yet" Nekoette chirped through the phone. "Yeah, I'm outside right now" I say shifting slightly from side to side. "Okiedokie" Neko said hanging up immediately after. I chuckled shoving my phone back in my pocket. "Bye Alexis! I'll see you tomorrow" The short me'fwa girl shouted books held tightly to her chest. She waved while sprinting over to me. "Hey hon" I smiled ruffling her light blue hair. "Ugh not the hair dad" She groaned than stopped completely after realizing what she said. "Sorry I didn't mean" I cut her off with a tight hug.
"It's fine Nekoette, you can call me whatever you want. Hell maybe I'll be your dad one day" I smile a slight blush covering my cheeks. Neko, was one of the only people who knew how I've felt about Dante. "Aww you big softie" She smiled whipping a tear from her face. "Now let's go small fry" I sigh wrapping my arm around her shoulder as we walk home.
-time skip-
"So what do you kids want for dinner" I ask holding up multiple takeout menus. "How about we go to corner stop" Dimitri offered and we all agreed. The four of us piled into the trunk and we started driving into town. The drive only lasted around five minutes, but it took us another ten just to find parking. "Now let's go already I'm starving" Dante complained as we climbed out of the truck. The bell rang as we entered the small diner. "Table for four" a girl with white hair smiles. "Right this way" She continued holding a few menus, leading us to a booth. Dante and I sat on one side while the kids sat on the other. Dimitri sat with earbuds in practically ignoring the world around him. I scanned through the menu, eventually starting up a conversation with Dante and Nekoette. "So Vylad, you excited about living with two teenagers" Dante smirks resting his hand near mine. "Yeah, I really do care about these two. And I kinda wanna stick around and wait till you know who comes out of the closet" I say and Dimitri sends me a death glare.
"Hey Bro, what can I get for you tonight" Gene smiles taping his notepad with a pen. "Also before you start, who are the rugrats" He continued eyeing up the kids. "Well Gene, these are my adoptive kids. Meet Nekoette and Dimitri" Dante explains pulling the earbud from Dimitri's ear. "Hey asshat" Dimitri muttered a groan leaving his lips. I rolled my eyes and we ordered our food. Whilst the four of us talked I eavesdropped around the room.
"Babes" I heard Gene whine and Zenix came out of the kitchen, while Sasha walked over to them. The three were now out of earshock but I continued to watch the three. Zenix had his arms around Gene's waist while Sasha rested her head against the oldest boy's chest. "this is not happening" I whisper as the three kiss each other. Sasha leaving black lipstick against the boy's cheeks. I smirked looking back to my somewhat family. I rested my hands against the booth and continued to listen. Before I knew it our food was placed on the table. "I still don't know how you can survive being a vegetarian Vylad" Dimitri says taking a giant bite of his waffles. "I've just never really liked meat" I shrugged munching down on my salad. "But you're gay" Neko joked causing Dante to spit out his water. I started laughing and Dimitri just grinned widely.
"Warn me next time you try and be funny" Dante coughed resting his left hand on my right one. Now our hands were hidden from site by the kids, but not the overgrown kid. "Get some Dante" Gene shouted ruffling my hair teasingly. "I'm done! Gene take the money keep the change we are going home" I groaned walking out to the car. The three others following at my heel. The drive home was completely silent. Once we got home the kids went to their rooms, probably to sleep. Dante and I sat at the kitchen counter, scrolling through our phones. When I looked up from my device I realized Dante was staring at me. His bright blue eyes shined with happiness. Once he realized I was looking back at him his face flushed a light red. "S-sorry" he stuttered scratching the back of his neck nervously. I smile and roll my eyes, walking over to him and jumping onto the counter infront of him. He smirked and walked away for a few minutes leaving me alone. "Want one" I hear his voice say holding out a beer bottle. I nodded as he handed me the ice cold bottle. "Wanna see something cool" He asked, and I tilted my head in confusion. He stood in front of me and held the closed bottle to his mouth. A loud click filled the room as he popped the cap off with his teeth. "Wow the one thing college taught you" I sassed using the counter to pop off the cap. "Shut up" he groaned punching my shoulder lightly. The two of us spent a good hour in the kitchen, drinking the entire six pack of beer.
I was feeling a tad bit tipsy while Dante was completely gone. "You have really pretty eyes" He hiccuped resting his hands against the counter. His hands were on either side of me practically pinning me. My back pressed against the granite countertops as he moved his hands closer to me. Oh how wonderful Dante's a touchy feely drunk. I never would have guessed, I slapped myself internally. He rested his hands under my thighs and lifted me onto the counter. The sudden lift caused me to yelp quietly. "Dan, come on you're drunk" I say trying to pushing him away. He just laughed drunkenly, leaning closer to my face. "You know I really like you right" Dante mumbled tiredly. He tucked a small piece of my hair behind my ear. "You have the most beautiful eyes. Adorable freckles, and the nicest smile" He continued resting his head against my chest, causing my heart to pound. His disorderly mumbling quieted, and his breathing slowed. Great he's fallen asleep against my chest. I groaned quietly and attempted to carry the sleeping bluenette up the stairs. I practically threw him down onto his bed and started walking away. Until a swift hand grabbed my wrist pulling me towards the comfortable mattress.
"Stay"
"Fine" I mutter crawling into the soft blankets. He wrapped his arms around me. I smiled to myself, now this is where I want to be.
