"Thanks for shopping at Wolf's Ear books come again" Donna smiles waving to two teenagers. "Will do Mrs. Merchant" the boy with blue hair smiled. "Tell Yip, we say hi" a short neko girl waved while following who I assume to be her brother out. "Such sweet kids" Donna sighs resting her head in her hands.

"Agreed, I remember being assigned to train them in my fencing class. Heh, first job I had ever had" Dante smiles clearing some empty boxes. "I honestly treated them like my kids, hell I still do. I even drive them to school sometimes since they live in my building" Dante continues to ramble about the two kids with blue hair. The three had to be related somehow, maybe even in a past life. (Wink wonk)

1:45 rolled around quickly and it was time for lunch. "Wanna head to the diner" I ask Donna and Dante. "No thank you Vylad, but I appreciate the offer" Donna said pushing her hair out of her eyes. "Come on Don, you never come with us" Dante explains resting his apron on the counter. "Well maybe this one time" Donna grins and I grab her wrist. "Allons-" I shout as the three of us laugh our way to the diner.

The three of us entered the small diner and we were greeted by none other than Gene. "Welcome to Corner Stop diner. Where we don't cut corners when it comes to service. How may I help you today" Gene says sarcasm dripping from his mouth. You can just tell how much he loves his job.

"Well don't you sound happy" I smile brightly and he just sticks his pierced tongue out. "Let me guess you guys want your usuals" Dante and I nod as Gene scribbles on his notepad. "And you Mrs"

"I'll just have a salad, please" Donna gleams and hands Gene our menus. He walked away slowly almost dropping his pen.

"Salad? That's it Donna" Dante asks looking at her with concern. "Yeah, being a vegetarian in a family of werewolves isn't easy you know" Donna explains rolling her eyes. "I know how you feel there. I'm the only vegetarian in my family, and sharing a home with Garroth isn't really 'vegetarian friendly'" I say using air quotes to specify my point. Dante stares at the both of us in disbelief.

"How can you not eat meat" I questions a genuine look of confusion across his face. "Well after watching your husband basically rip apart a steak. You learn to live without it" She laughs and I join in. Our food arrives and we all start to dig in. Dante basically devouring his sandwich. I honestly question how he stays so fit. He eats like a pig basically having one snack per fifteen minutes.

A small ding filled the diner, causing Gene to groan. "Welcome to... oh hello Vulkrum, and who are you" Gene says packing his notepad into his apron. I turned to face the door seeing Travis and a face I couldn't recognize. All I could tell was that they are both male. "W-well my name is" the boy stutters out and looks at the ground. "This is mein Goldstück" Travis says in German. I only know this since he tells me about how his mother taught him German when he was little. "Oh" Gene smirks causing the taller boy to turn bright red.

"Hey Travis" Dante yells waving the two over. Before the two walk over the boy looks at me. Grabbing Travis' shoulder he shakes his head and whispers something. Travis looks at me than back at him multiple times, completely confused. Donna and I continue go eat as Dante goes to talk to the two. We finish lunch just before 2:15. Donna tries to pull her wallet out of her purse. "No Donna let me, you already pay me once a week" I smile and pay the bill handing it to Gene before Donna can retaliate. "Vylad, come on" She complains standing up "Thank you though" she continues grabbing her purse. "Dante, come on we're leaving" I shout as he waves goodbye to Travis and his friend. He caught up to me and wraps his arm around my shoulder before we walked outside.

The walk back too the store was very uneventful since it was only a two minute walk.

Donna unlocks the door to the bookstore and we walk inside. Preparing for the second half of our shift. I got a head start on sweeping the floor when the door bell rang. Two girls around our age walked in. One had her hair tied into a loose braid with glasses resting on her nose. While the other one's hair was curly and her hand was intertwined with the shorter girl's.

"Go on Kim, pick whatever book you want" The darker skinned girl smiles. Kim nods and grabs a book off the shelf quickly. "Thanks Teony, you really didn't have to do this" Kim said as they walked towards the check out. As quickly as they came into the store they left. Fingers intertwined the entire time.

I climbed into the car and started my drive to go pick up Garroth. The school was a twenty minute drive from the apartment. The drive was silent, except for the quiet songs from the radio. I parked near the entrance of the school, waiting for Garroth. Instead of waiting in the car I decided to text him.

Vylad: Hey bro I'm outside

Big bro: Okay, I'll be right out

Vylad: hurry up or I'm leaving without you

As soon as I sent that text Garroth was walking outside. Laurence walking beside him, carrying a messenger bag. My older brother waved goodbye as he started to walk to the car. As soon as the car door opened I looked at him.

"What's with the smart ass grin" Garroth asks buckling his seat belt.

"So who's that" I ask my grin spreading even wider.

"Just a co-worker" Garroth copied my words from when he first saw Dante,

"So. . . When should I start planning the wedding" I laugh pulling out of the parking lot. Garroth's face flushed bright red.

"If you weren't driving I would strangle you right now" He groans throwing his head into the seat.
