Laurens POV
The car stopped suddenly, making me fall slightly in my seat. I felt a hand grab my arm, steadying me. I looked up, seeing Alex's amused but worried expression. I smiled at him, averting my gaze. He let go, addressing to others.
"Are we going to get out? And we will need to go through my window so Washington doesn't murder us," he informed, opening the side door. Lafayette pressed the button again, and, hearing the click, started to speak.
"We are just taking the drinks. Could you take the rest in?"
"Yes of course Mr. Lafayette," he replied with the same formality as before.
"Thank you!" With that he jumped out, running to the trunk. The others followed suite.
"C'mon Laurens! You can climb right?" Hamilton ushered me out of the car. I got out, frowning at him. He laughed, "We are going to climb the building." He gestured up at the house. "But don't worry, we've done this many times," he added, seeing my worried expression. I closed the door behind myself, looking around for the others. The driver had stepped out and gone around to the back, grabbing a few of the bags.
My friends were already at the base of the house, surveying the outside. Lafayette was carrying a bag that held the various bottles. I ran to join them, following Alex. Hamilton turned and smiled when he saw me next to him. I grinned back, and when we'd stopped I gestured up at the wall, which was covered in creepers.
"So how are we going to climb this?" The others chuckled as Mulligan responded.
"Well we have to climb those vines, try not to hit our dicks on that little brick trim running around the house, struggle to climb onto it, and sneak through Alex's open window," he patted the wall to emphasise his point.
"Hamilton you can go last to help Laurens here up, okay?" Lafayette asked, motioning to me. He nodded. Lafayette put the bag on his arm before reaching up to grab the vines. He pulled on the plants and then placed his feet on parts of the stronger stems, the others following suit.
"Too bad I'm not wearing a dress today. I can't give you guys a show," Peggy exclaimed, gesturing to her pants with a flourish. We laughed, Lafayette audibly sighing in disappointment. I glanced back at the car, finding no trace of the driver.
"Uhh guys...won't Washingdad-" we all laughed at the nick name. After everyone had returned their attention to me I continued my sentence, "won't he realise we're back because the driver went inside?" The others turned their heads to look in the direction of the door.
"We should hurry meze ami," Lafayette called from above. I placed my foot on the vines but not before we heard a door slam. I scrambled up as fast as I could, trying to match the steps of the others.
"Oh crap, oh crap, oh shit, oh fuck," I mumbled under my breath as my foot slipped. My grip on the plants tightened. In the distance I heard Washington fuming, muttering to himself. I scraped my shoe against the house, looking for the vine. Finding none I glanced back down at the ground in fright. Seeing Alexander looking around I kicked my loose foot against the side of the building. "Fu-fuck! Al-Alexander! Help me!"
He looked up at me and seeing my loose foot, scampered towards me. "S-sorry," he stammered. I rolled my eyes jokingly. He lifted up my foot to the more stable vines. After my foot found a grip I launched myself up to reach the others that were looking over the edge of the trim.
They reached down and grabbed my arm, pulling me up. I sighed in relief.
"That was a lot of fucking swearing. Didn't think you'd be the type," Mulligan commented, patting my back.
