11. Whats going on?

Maddy POV

My eyes fluttered open to a bright light shining from the open window. After sighing I readied myself to stand up and close it, allowing my body to get a few more hours sleep before school. I sat up, rubbing at my face with my free hand while the other slid the blanket off of my body. I glanced down and my eyes went wide. I held back I silent scream as I pulled the blanket back over my naked body. I glanced about the room, searching for answers. I was greeted with a wide set of eyes staring at me. I jumped back, pulling half of the blanket with me to cover myself. Thomas pulled back at the blanket, trying to cover himself. We locked eyes and a hesitant smile crept to my lips.

"We did it again. Whoops," I sighed. He laughed, standing up hesitantly. The blanket stretched between us.

"We really have to stop. Especially on school nights. And my head is pounding like crazy," he emphasised this by shaking his head, making his messy curls bounce. He glanced down at the blanket. "It can't be shared between the two of us," the blanket slid to the floor as he discarded of it. I glanced to the side, blushing. "Well I am going to have a shower anyway. I feel dirty." He started towards the connected bathroom.

"Wow thanks," I growled in reply with a half smile. He grinned back at me as he closed the door. I glanced down at myself and decided I could wait to have a shower. I looked down at the discarded clothes on this floor, picking up a shirt I rummaged through the drawers next to the bed for boxers and pants. Finding both, I slipped them on, stepping out the door.

"Madison! It's breakfast time!" Lafayette bounced towards me joyfully. He didn't show any sign of a hangover.

"God not so loud. You bitch. What day is it today? I thought it was Saturday but Washington said during his speech that we wouldn't have classes today." Lafayette laughed.

"It's Friday today. Your clock must be wrong."

I shrugged.

"Are you the only one up?" I glanced into their half opened door on the other side of the hallway.

"Yes. Help me wake the others up?"

"Uh sure." We both stepped into the room. I surveyed the scenery of last night. Laurens and Hamilton were crouched in a corner together, Hamilton's head in a very awkward position, near his sleeping partners crouch. Angelica, Eliza and Peggy were crowded on the large couch together. Mulligan was asleep next to the wall, obvious that Lafayette had occupied the space next to him last night. I smiled.

"Oi you bastards! Wake up!" I endured my own shouts, knowing it was worth it. As Angelica woke up Peggy slipped off the couch, waking from the impact. Eliza suddenly shot up, her hair a mess. Mulligan crouched further into the wall, trying to sleep again. Laurens woke up before Hamilton, glancing down at him. He suddenly stood up, brushing of his outfit. Blush had already covered his cheeks as he looked towards us. Hamilton woke up as his head hit the wall, swearing. I laughed with Lafayette, turning around to walk out.
When we reached the stairwell Washington's voice rang out from the kitchen.

"I made eggs! I made fucking eggs!" We laughed as we descended the stairs, seeing Washington's face of shock from behind the bench. "I mean I burnt the toast, but EGGS."

"Well done George." Lafayette praised the principal. I chuckled. As we sat down Lafayette piped up again. "Also Laurens wanted to know how old you are. He said you look 40, but act 25." Washington chuckled.

"If he wants to know that I'm sure Alex could tell him. Also I'm not doubting that all of you want the main roles?" He looked back at us from his eggs. We nodded. He turned back. "Well I'm not giving any of you special treatment, you will have to try out just like everyone else." He jabbed the spatula in our direction. Lafayette jumped up as he spoke. He hopped to Washington's side.
