=9:43pm, 13th June 2016=

[Naya awakens suddenly and gasps for air as if choking. Frantically, she turns her head but there are no signs of anyone.]

"Where's everyone?"

[Gripping the sheets of her bed, she stumbles feebly, trying to walk.]

"Lawrence?"

[Exiting her ward, she gropes the walls to support herself. The walls of the hospital are bright, too bright they hurt her eyes.]

"Mom? Dad?"

[She calls out but no one responds.]

"Can someone please tell me what the fuck is going on?"

[Her head spins, her vision blurred. All Naya can see is a mirage of illusions and then it stops.]

[She sees a little boy, a toddler no older than three or four. Blonde hair that glowed in the sunlight, shiny hazelnut eyes just like hers.]

[Naya stands rooted, unable to move, craving to touch the child.]

"Come here..." [Naya says weakly, softly choking on her tears. She knows.]

[He starts to run away, nimble feet hitting the cold floor while laughing. The boy's features strikingly resembled Naya as a child.]

"Sam... Baby, come back."

[He giggles more and runs further into an incandescent light.]

"Sam!"

[His small frame disappears into the light, removing himself from the figment of Naya's imagination. And she screams.]

"SAM!"

[A warm hard brushes across her face, wiping away her tears.]

"Naya, it's okay. It's okay. Everything is fine."

[Lawrence pulls her convulsing body into his arms and gives her his warmth and assuagement, allaying her pain and grief.]

"I saw him..." [Choking on her tears, she clenches onto his coat.] "I saw my baby."

"He... he would've been two this year."

[Lawrence has nothing to say but holds her close. At the peak of her vulnerability, she let him in. For once, when she needed it the most, she let someone in. Someone she thought would be Silas.]
