Bloom- The Paper Kites

He breathed heavily, eagerly waiting.
"Hi Naya." Silas would say to himself, searching for the best way to finally greet the love of his life.
"What's up, babe?" He voiced with a smirk on his face which then turned into a disgusted face shortly after.
"My God Silas you can't say that you moron." It was as if he'd run out of words to say when it was time to meet Naya. To actually see her, skin and flesh.
Standing outside a grocery store, Silas kicks the piles of leaves along the pavement, wondering when Naya would make her appearance.
He thought of the things they would say to each other as if they haven't talked enough the last 6 months. He thought of how he would finally get to feel the textures of her skin, or memorise every space and inch of her body and all that she was. Silas did all of this with the thought of continuing it for the rest of his life.
"Where is she?" He whined, beginning to pace back and forth with a strong sense of anxiety.
The sun illuminated its rays onto the small, cobbled road with gentle breezes caressing the leaves of pink magnolia trees. The distant sounds of passing cars and footsteps fading into them echoed softly past Silas.
In the midst of the tranquility, a distinct voice made Silas perk his head up.
She struggles to carry a stack of books on one hand and her jacket and phone on the other hand. Shuffling her feet across the pavement, she moves closer to Silas.
Knowing Naya was already here, Silas couldn't help but grin widely as he admired the beauty walking towards him. He lost all sense of anxiety or fear. For he knew, he would be the luckiest man in the world. She captivated him, entranced him in ways unfathomable and when she was barely a feet away, Naya left Silas speechless.
"Yes! I'm on my way now." Irritation was hinted in her voice as she spoke to a very hysterical woman across the line.
"What? No, I haven't met anyone. What's up with you, why are you acting so weird, mom?"
In Naya's eyes, today had already been a 'fucking shitty day' as she would call it- Naya had imagined the worst of their relationship and claimed they would never come to meet.
Unbeknownst to Naya, Silas would actually be in New Orleans, all the more... right in front of her.
"Naya..." Silas whispered and gazed at her flustered, annoyed self before she came to a halt.
"Jesus, I'm positive, I haven't seen any-" Finally, she angled her head a little higher to witness Silas Lancaster standing so much taller than she was.
It was for a spilt second that Naya had to register that Silas Richards Lancaster was here before she dropped everything on her hands, jumped onto him and clutched onto Silas ever so tightly. It was an immediate reaction that tears began to form in her eyes.
Chuckling, Silas was just as ecstatic to see her all he did was hold onto her firmly, refusing to let go. After all, they had no words left to say, only needing endless moments like this.
"You're finally here." Naya whispered into his ears, pulling herself away to take a good look at her partner's face- so enchantingly beautiful and precious. And it was all hers.
"I told you, didn't I? I'm right here... In the flesh, sweetheart." He brushed his fingers through her hair, feeling Naya's rough and dry ends. A sudden sadness pierced him, knowing she hadn't been taking care of herself lately.
She had looked lethargic- dark circles haunting her eyes with her complexion dulled slightly.
Silas stroked her face with his hands, wanting to whisper sweet nothings to her all day so she would know how much he loved her.
"Oh Naya." Tilting her chin, Silas brought himself inches closer so their lips met. Waves of euphoria hit them as they explored each other a little more deeply.
"God, I love you so fucking much." Naya cried out to Silas, hanging her arms around his broad shoulders.
It would've been an eternity they stood on that small, cobbled road. And it would be another eternity they would spend with one another, sharing such euphoria and everything else.
"I love you too, sweetheart."
