**Kenya’s POV**
Joey and I arrived at Shane’s house and we rushed to his door. Joey pounded on the door as he shouted, “Shane! We need to talk to you!”
“Yeah!” I yelled. Joey looked back at me and smirked, “What?” I snapped back at him.
The door swung open and Shane glared at us, “It’s near midnight and you’re coming to my own house. What the fuck do you need?” He growled at us.
“Rachael and Anthony have gone missing. And they’re in the game,” Joey explained as I showed him my phone.
“What game…?” He paused and then rolled his eyes and continued, “Are you talking about that fucking game Rachael was talking about, and tried to make me believe that people are getting sucked into it?”
“Yeah, that the one!” I exclaimed, “Look, Shane, I’ve seen it. Here just take a look at these pictures.”
“No!” He smacked my phone out of my hands, “You come to my house late at night to tell me that a game is sucking people in? You guys sound just as crazy as Rachael! I don’t care, and even if I did believe you, it isn’t possible.” Shane said in a forceful tone.
Just as we were shamefully walking away, Lisa came up to the door and inquired, “Hey what’s all the yelling about?”
“Nothing, they were just leaving.” Shane remarked hatefully. She looks at Shane and glares at him.
Lisa yelled out to us, “Hi, it’s Kenya and Joey, right?” Joey and I nodded our heads in unison. Lisa continued, “Well, what is this whole commotion about, that it is necessary at twelve in the morning?”
We looked at each other and then I asked, “May we come in?” Lisa agreed, cleared the threshold, and motioned that it was alright to enter.
Lisa guided us into the kitchen. I pulled out my chromebook and opened to connect to the server used at the condo. After it finished buffering, I logged on to the current game, and appeared several different screens with all the missing YouTubers, including Rachael and Anthony.
I flipped the screen towards Shane and Lisa. For a moment I thought Shane would still be in disbelief, but to my surprise, he looked up at Joey and said, “I believe you.”
-Rachael’s POV-
My focus was waning as the snake’s hold got tighter and tighter. Before I knocked out cold, I saw a screen come up on the wall. One with Joey, Kenya, and even Shane. “Shane?” I said in a whisper before everything went black.
-Shane’s POV-
“Is that a snake?” I asked as I watched as Rachael blacked out. Next were Anthony and Ian who were losing their battle with the slippery bar above the swirling pool of sharks. Then the burning line in Toby’s room was close to the end. Dan had only about six inches on each side before the spikes touched his body. And Phil’s head was the only thing visible above the water.
“OH MY GOD!” Lisa shouted, “SOMEONE HELP THEM! THEY’RE GOING TO DIE!”
I looked at my girlfriend and gulped. I was keeping something from her. I’ve been keeping something from everyone. She looked up at me, tears starting to form in her eyes, “Shane, do something.” She croaked.
I looked down at her and then over at Joey and Kenya, who were looking at the screen intently. I frowned, “Lisa, I…”
“They’re going to die.”
“Shane,” Kenya looked over at me, “This is for real. We need to save them before they die!”
I remained silent.
“Shane!” Joey yelled at me, “This is a matter about life and death! Do you want these people to die? Because once they die, I’m not so sure they’re getting a second life.”
“Come on, Shane,” Lisa urged, “Save them.”
I rolled my eyes and looked over at Joey and Kenya, “What do I do?”
**Kenya’s POV**
Immediately after Shane agreed to help us, I went over to my computer bag and pulled out a black cord. Shane looked suspicious, and inquired, “What the hell is that for?”
As I plugged the cord into Shane’s television, I responded by saying, “It’s a HDMI cord, it should be able to connect my computer to your television and give us a bigger pixelated view when you guys are transported into the game.”
Shane, Lisa, and Joey all gave me confused looks. I read their faces and responded, “A cord that make computer screen pop up on TV.”
They all nodded and said in unison, “Oh, ok.” I rolled my eyes and shook my head in disappointment as I continued to type on my computer. Out of my bag, I pulled out four different head pieces and handed one to Shane, Lisa, and Joey.
I then stated, “Ok these are our intercoms, as you guys go into the game you are able to still use technology from the real world. So far we haven’t fully figured out what the end goal of the game is, or if there is one, but anything is possible. When Shane and Joey enter into the game, get everyone there who is stuck, and no one is coming out unless you finish the game.” I took a moment and scanned each surveillance shot of each room. “Lisa and I will stay out and search for whoever is controlling the game.”
“How will we know where to go after we finish in one part of the game?” Joey asked.
“I honestly don’t know, I guess the game will lead you to each level.” I guessed, then finished typing on the computer. I looked up and said, “ Okay...There! As long as the server stays connected we can stay in touch, and it should be the exit if you guys can…” I paused and gulped.
“Finish each level and save them.” Lisa finished my sentence in a confident voice. We all agreed on the plan, and afterwards Lisa and I both said our goodbyes to Joey and Shane.
I pulled one more piece of technology out of my bag - a black X-Box 360 controller. I then announced, “Just press the start button and it will transport you two into the game.” Joey took the controller out of my hand and put his hand on my cheek. Shane and Lisa gave one last hug, then broke away.
With both Joey and Shane’s hands on the controller, they pressed the start button and instantaneously began to fade until they were completely gone. I looked away from the spot and turned to my computer. Both Joey and Shane appeared on the screen still holding the controller and looking around. They were standing in a hallway. Joey touched his ear piece and said, “Hey can you guys hear me?”
I quickly responded, “ Loud and clear.”
