Clare looked over back at the four CIA agents, “Is she working with you?”

Rachael crossed her arms over her chest, “No. And I don’t know what the hell she thinks she’s doing here.”

“I am Kalel Cullen and I am with the LAPD. We were informed of the disappearance of a...Toby Turner,” She said as she looked down at her note book.

“Well, CIA is already working this case.” Kenya replied in an aggravated tone.

“Yeah!” Rachael added, more or so in an angrier tone.

“Kalel,” Anthony stepped forward in front of everyone and pointed to the front door where Kalel came in, “You need to go.”

She smirked, “I have every right to be here,” She pulled out a piece of paper, “I have a warrant and, hmm, do you have one?” She challenged.

“SURE WE DO!” Kenya snapped back, and continued, “Show her Anthony!” She commanded.

He blushed a bright red color, “Uh…”

Joey’s eyes widen, realizing the predicament that they just got into. “You seriously forgot to get one!?!” He shouted at Anthony, “Your one job on the crime scene, Anthony! And you somehow find a way to fuck it up! How could you forget the warrant?”

Anthony shrugged his shoulders, “Sorry guys.”

“Let’s go…” Rachael suggested, trudging over to the door.

That’s when Kalel exclaimed, “Wait! You can guys can stay, under one condition.” Everyone looked at her and waited for her to continue. But instead, she walked over to Anthony and whispered something into his ear.

A shocked look crossed his face and he stepped away from her, “No! Not in a million years!”

“What?” Kenya asked, “What do want us to do?  Do you want us to put in a good word about the cops to the CIA or what…?”

“She wants me to be her boyfriend again!” He shouted, “Okay!?!” His cheeks grew red with anger and he crossed his arms over his chest, actually considering the option. “And...I’m willing to do that if this case means so much to you guys…”

Silence fell upon them as no one knew what to say.

“Don’t do it Anthony,” Rachael blurted out, “It’s not worth it…”

Kenya shot a look of disbelief towards her friend, “Are you serious?” She calmed herself down before going on to say, “You’re the one who wanted this case in the first place.”

“Well I don’t think Anthony needs to go back to dating someone who he broke up with just for me...us...to keep this case,” She replied morosely, “And anyways, it’s one house...it’s not the end of the world if we lose one house…”

Kenya remarked, rolling her eyes, “Whatever, I don’t give a damn anymore!”

Joey heaved a sigh before saying, “Why don’t you let Anthony choose? He’s the one who has to date Kalel if he decides to do so.”

Anthony looked at Rachael and bit his lip. Basically, it was her or Kalel. He gulped before turning to Kalel and gripping her shoulders tightly, “I’m sorry, Kalel. But I’m not being your boyfriend. Because…” He turned towards Rachael, who looked up slightly, “I…”

Just then, Joey got a radio call from Shane, “Come in Graceffa! Eckerson!” Rachael walked over to Joey, leaving Anthony hanging. He sighed in defeat and just walked out of the house, pushing Kalel out of the way. She scoffed at him and leaned in close to the little huddle Rachael and Joey and Kenya had created, trying to eavesdrop.

“Where the fuck are you guys?” Shane’s voice shouted through the speaker, “None of you are in your offices and we have another case to work on! Get your asses back to the office before I fire you all!” And the radio transmission ended.

The three CIA agents exchanged glances before exiting the crime scene, Kalel calling out to them, “Thanks for leaving, losers!”

Kenya noticed Rachael had balled her fists up and looked like she was about to kill someone, “Kiddo, she isn’t even worth it! Forget her!” Rachael constantly looked over her shoulder back into the house, and Kenya continued in a calm voice, “ Hey! Hey look at me! She isn’t worth it! And, even better, you still have Anthony!”

“I don’t have him, Kenya. He’s just single,” Her friend retorted cynically, walking away and hopping in the driver’s side of her car and driving off.

“Hey, you tried, she isn’t mad at you.” Joey said in a comforting way.

Kenya was getting ready for her date with Joey when Rachael walked by her bedroom, looking more bummier than ever. With her baggy sweatpants and loose fitting t-shirt.

“Whoa whoa whoa,” Kenya remarked, walking out of her room and catching Rachael before she got downstairs, “What the hell are you wearing?”

“Uh...my comfy clothes,” Her friend replied, “Duh.”

“You can’t look any better than that?” She complained, “Joey’s coming over here and I don’t want him seeing you like that. Hell, I don’t even like seeing you like that.”

Rachael rolled her eyes and stomped back into her bedroom. She took a few minutes before coming out in a pair of medium-wash skinny jeans and a white fitted T-shirt. “Better?”

“Yes,” Kenya replied with a smile.

“Why are you so dressed up anyways?” Rachael asked, crossing her arms over her chest and tilting her head to the side.

Kenya gulped, “Uh…”

Saved by the doorbell, Kenya didn’t have to answer Rachael’s question. Joey had arrived. Rachael got the door and let him in. “What are you doing here?” She asked him.

“I’m here for Kenya. We’re going to a charity event, remember?”

“Oh, yeah…” Rachael crossed her arms, “Well you two have fun, I’m going to be watching some scary movies tonight all by myself.”

“Well, don’t scare yourself so that you can’t sleep tonight,” Joey said in a teasing way, knowing Rachael hated scary movies and always did this to herself for no reason.

Kenya walked down the steps in a long, black, one sleeve shoulder dress along with black, open-toed pumps. With one hand grasping a black leather clutch purse and the other hand resting on her hip, a diamond bracelet dangling from her wrist, she made a pose on the stairs.

Joey and Rachael both were in such amazement that they both were speechless for a moment. Then Joey stepped forward and said, “Wow, you look...amazing!”

Rachael said, “I never I thought I would see you in a dress.” Her friend glared at her, “But you look really good, Kenya.”

“We should get going. We don’t want to be late.” Kenya said. Then Joey met Kenya at the end of the stairs and they walked out of the house and into the night.

Rachael closed the door behind them after she waved goodbye and turned around, popping the first movie into the DVD player and walking into the kitchen to get herself a bowl of popcorn. While she was waiting for the popcorn to start popping, there was a knock on the door.
