His smile was pretty.

It was those ones where the corner of his Rosy lips lifted up and a faint dimple became visible.

I felt like everything
Was alright

And that nothing else mattered.

"You should come to our gig today," we were by my locker and I felt uncomfortable Because everyone could see us
And how close he was leaning Into me
And how different we looked standing next to each other.

So I hugged myself with my cotton covered arms looking at my converse ignoring the feeling of curious
Eyes that felt like they were screaming at me to run.

"Hey, look at me," his index finger lifted my chin to meet his eyes and that warm feeling came back again
and my lips parted into a soft smile.

His features were sharp but his eyes were soft like
They were molded from
Gooey chocolate and
Minty Ice.

"Yeah."

"Yeah?"

This made me smile even more,

So that my eyes became squinty and
My heart
Beat quickened.

"I'll come, just for you."

My palms began to sweat because of how stupid
I felt for those last few words,
Thinking I sounded desperate.

My mind began to spin anticipating what he was going to say next so my eyes landed on his shoes this time.

Observing each imperfection and the messily tied shoelaces.

"I'll save a spot right up front just for you."

With those bewildering words I was engulfed in warmth and long arms that wrapped around my waist pulling me closer To him which made me

Giggle.

And when he held on for more than Two second i became quiet and pressed my face against his chest savoring every drop of the sweet moment.

I felt him rest his head in the crook of my neck and

I felt his heart beat,

Each beat and thump and crash.

"Your hair smells like lilies."

"Your jacket smells of Marlboro."
