He took me to a local bar

That on Tuesday nights there was music,

And everyone danced to the sway of the music of the night.

I wore a firry red dress with black heels, and my braids hung behind my back reaching my bottom.

The air was filled with music, laughter, and alcohol.

All I wanted to do was dance, and hold my husband until the night was over.

His smile was dazzling under the overhung lights and his eyes twinkled as they captured my dull brown ones.

He grabbed my waist and led me to the beat of the music, like he did the night I confessed my live to him again.

Soon my feet bean moving on their own and

I was laughing

    Because everything felt

So real.

It felt like old times,

   Before heartbreak and devastation.

It was like we were back in high school,

   Two teenagers,
Young
Naive
And in love.

It felt like falling in love every second, that you felt immersed in it.

He dipped me backwards and I giggled unable to control the  sudden burst of happiness that found its way in the pit of my stomach.

So i danced the night away with Reggie, my husband.

And made sure to look at him through every step I took, savoring the millionth sweet moment as if I would never let go.
