A new Threat

The Battle

"But what could darkness give you that friendship can't?"

A pair of red eyes pierced the darkness, staring directly at Twilight.

"Power, true power, not your pathetic power of 'friendship'. With this power... and the element of hatred.... nothing, NOTHING can stop me! not even your ultimate forms..."

Twilight heard hooves charging her in every direction. she tried to dodge but... She cannot dodge what she cannot see.

"Give up Twilight, you can't defeat me! You are one and I am many, how could you possibly defeat me? You're practically blind..."

Twilight tries to see where he is but all she can see is darkness. She tries to stand but she gets knocked right back over by one of the shadows and hears Crimson's evil laugh.

"Any effort is a waste of energy, Twilight. You know you have darkness in you too. . . so let's use it. Who knows? It may help you beat me, after all...."

"NEVER!!!" screamed Twilight

With that she jumps up and flies up, still being hit by his shadows she uses almost all of her energy and fires at Crimson. She makes the shot but he is not down. Twilight notices she is no longer being hit by shadows, but the number of red eyes staring at her grows almost Infinite.

"That hit must have hit him badly enough to neutralize his powers for a bit..." she thought "I better use this opportunity."

So she looks around wildly for anything different in each set of eyes. And she finds a difference: there is a set of eyes where one eye is closed, she must have hit Crimson Directly in his eye. She looks at him and puts all her power into a shot. Crimson sees it coming and he spreads his wings to fly away, but she hits his wing. She heard him cry out in pain but then he disappeared into the shadows. As soon as he was gone, the room lit back up, and Twilight fainted.
