Chapter 20

hey guys! its been a while. i'm so sorry. please forgive me, i have just gone through a lot lately, and it should be no excuse. so again, i am really sorry.  i will leave a little footnote at the end of the chapter to explain what went on. mild language for future reference. also, the song i chose for this chapter came from the movie, Meet The Robinsons. it's Little Wonders by Rob Thomas, simply because i felt it matches the mood with the chapter. if you have a different song suggestion or for maybe a future chapter, leave a comment down below, please!

Your POV

I woke up the next morning very energetic. I was already up by five o'clock and was dressed by five thirty. I went into the kitchen and made a bowl of cereal. While eating, I decided to catch up on some YouTube videos. I started to watch Jack's Prop Hunt video he posted yesterday. I watched for the remainder of thirty minutes then ascended my journey to the convention center.

Let's just say, I was one of the first employees there.

Aubrey is of course the first person here because she manages the floor for all the booths, and then Luke and a few other crew members were here. I said good morning to the both of them before heading to my booth section. I grabbed the clipboard from my backpack and made my rounds by checking tables for supplies.

My phone started to vibrate in my bag, so I decided to see who was calling me. Sean was calling me, but at six in the morning?

"Hey Sean. I'm surprised you're up this early." I said with a snicker.

"Actually, (Y/n), it's Mark."

Oh shit...

"Oh, hey Mark. Um, why are you calling on Sean's phone?"

"I forgot to put mine on the charger last night. I was, uh, going to ask you if it was okay if I came up a little early. I wanted to view some of the booths beforehand."

"Sure, I guess. I'll let Aubrey know you are coming. Wait, how are they guys going to get here then?"

"I gave Wade my keys so that he can drive Bob and Sean up here."

"Okay, well I will see you soon."

"Okay, bye." He said then ended the call.

Suddenly, my nerves started to kick in. I don't know if I was excited that he was coming early or nervous because of what happened last night. Well, I have a little while before he gets here, so I could just walk. I decided to look at the booths that I wouldn't be able to see before the convention ended. The Marvel booth was my first priority because I wanted to look at the Spiderman merchandise. I decided to go ahead and pay for a shirt and hat before the crowd claimed them all.

I then made my way to the Xbox floor and viewed the new Xbox One S. I was intrigued by the new console, but I loved my regular Xbox One more than anything. I also went to the customized controller table and viewed the different designs. I received mine a few months back. It was a sky blue controller, with a matte pink D-Pad, and stormy gray buttons.

I also stopped by the Playstation floor and viewed the list of new games. While I was browsing the games, I bought the new Watch Dogs 2, because I've been wanting to play it for my channel.

My last stop was the DC booth. I always loved to see this booth at the convention because in my opinion, they had the best merchandise. I went to the end of the booth table to look at the Batman products. As I was browsing the items, I heard someone walk up behind me.
