Chapter 19

hey guys!! i'm sorry it has been so long, school and AP is just getting in the way and i was so stressed out. i cried for like a week straight because there was just too much, but now i am better and everything is going okay. but here is a chapter that everyone has been waiting on! btw i chose this song because i am in love with it!

Your POV

He kissed me...

Mark just actually kissed me. I've waited so long for that and it actually happened. As soon as he moved away, he looked flustered. I probably looked the same as well. As much as I wanted to kiss him, I didn't know how to respond that quickly. We started to make eye contact again and he started to lean towards me. By instinct, I met him half way and we started to kiss. He put his right hand on my cheek and I put my hand on top. 

I was starting to enjoy this kiss, but then a thought popped into my head. I'm suppose to be gaming with Luke and everyone else right now! I backed away from the kiss with my breathe caught in my throat. Mark backed away as well and put his hand on the back of his neck. It was that kind of awkward moment when you don't know what to do afterwards. 

"I'm sorry, (Y/n). I don't know what came over me." Mark said. 

"No, uh, it's okay." I laughed.

"Yeah." He chuckled. 

"Look, I forgot that I was suppose to be gaming with a few of my friends. So, I kind of have to go." I said as I started to get up and head for the door. 

"Oh, that's okay. Uh, do you need me to drive behind you so that way you get home safely?" He said standing behind me. 

"No, that's okay. I just really have to go now." I put my hand on the handle of the slide door. 

"Okay. I'll see you around, I guess." Mark said. 

"Yeah. Bye, Mark." I opened the door and started to close it when I heard a mumbled, "Please don't go".

I hesitated, but then closed the door completely. I looked behind me and saw that Mark was sitting on one of the lounge chairs, with his head in his hands. I then turned back around and went to the living room to tell the guys bye. As I was saying goodbye, I gathered my things and left his house. 

I unlocked my car and started to gear up for my journey home. I strapped on my seatbelt and plugged in my phone to listen to music. I backed out of the driveway and made my way back to my apartment. While driving, another one of my favorite songs began to play.

The song ended after two minutes and the rest of the ride was silent. I soon arrived back to my apartment building and parked in my normal spot. I got out, locked my car, and made my way inside. I unlocked my door and went to the living room. I turned on my Xbox One and then went to my room the change. As soon as I changed into some comfy sweats and a baseball tee style shirt, I grabbed a drink and went to put on my headset. I already had a party invite from Luke and Stephen. I accepted one of them and everyone was there. Luke then started to mess with me on why I was late.

"I went to Mark's house, and had dinner with him and the guys." I stated.

"Oh, and you didn't invite us? How dare you!" Luke said sarcastically. 

"Well, I'm sorry. But something else happened."

"Did you guys have sex?" Stephen said and laughed.

"No, Stephen! Mark kissed me." I said.

"And then you had sex." Josh said.

"Okay, can we get off the sex subject guys? Jesus!" I said and everyone started to laugh. 

We then started to get into the customs games. We played a few games of Deathrun, Jenga, and Flood. I won a few games of Flood and Deathrun. Luke and Josh beat us in Jenga. Stephen won most of the Deathrun maps. I recorded some of the games to make a montage for a video to upload. We then just started to play Firefight. The first game was full of Covenant, which we finished in about seven minutes. We all earned about three gold packs and started a new round.

The games went on for about another hour or so, then everyone started to get off. We planned to do another game night, but on Playstation. The 'goodbyes' were said, and I then turned off my xbox. I went upstairs and went to do my necessities in the bathroom. After that, I got under my duvet, and plugged my phone to the charger. I turned my alarm on and switched to 'Do Not Disturb'. I started to play some music on a low volume, then slowly became sleepy. I shut my eyes, and everything around me started to fade to black. 

Mark's POV

After (Y/n) left, I sat outside for about twenty minutes. I finally kissed her, after all this time. I felt like it was the right time, but now, I'm not so sure. Did she really leave because of the kiss, or she actually had a game night with her friends? I decided to go back inside and play a few games with the guys. 

Jack suggested that we play GTA V, and put the game inside the console. He went first, then he died by a semi-truck on the highway. Wade went next and died because of the cops. Bob actually lasted longer than they did and tried to grab a jet from the military base. I tried to blow up a train but then died of the explosion. 

We played a few more rounds until they decided to head to bed early. We had to be back at the convention at around ten in the morning. I went to the kitchen to get a water bottle before going to bed. I went to my room and shut the door. I placed my glasses on the night stand flipped onto my back. All I could think about now was the kiss. Did it mean anything to her? She did kiss back at one point, but that could mean anything. Maybe she liked me, but I highly doubt that. As all these questions are popping into my head, I slowly start to fall asleep in thoughts of the kiss. 

I hope she enjoyed the kiss. Because I did...
