"So, how would feel about going on a date?"

"How would you feel about getting hit by a bus?"

"Rather terrible and mildly inconvenient."

"Well then there's your answer. Now, if you'll excuse me, I do have a job I need to attend to."

You rolled your eyes. You did NOT have time for this. You had orders to fill, a register to run, and on top of it all, you had a boy following you around who obviously didn't understand what the word 'no' meant. Again, little time and many problems.

"Oh come on, it's one little date."

"I'm rather busy so if you'll excuse m-"

"What do you wanna do? Go to the movies, grab some dinner, maybe head back to mine for a card game and binge watch a lame show on Netflix?"

"What I want is for you to leave me alone so I can do something productive with my life."

"Come on dollfa-"

"Christ, do you not know when to quit? Do you have brain cells left in your arrogant head to let you know when you need to back the hell off?"

"......"

"You aren't going to leave are you."

".....no."

You pinched the bridge of your nose, contemplating on killing him or ignoring him, and even though the second option would end up the best, the former sounded pretty good. You breathed out slowly, allowing your heart rate to drop a few beats before you looked back up.

"Alright, fine. We'll go on one date, no more and no less, unfortunately for me. Got it? Then you can leave me alone and I won't have to deal with your room temperature IQ for the rest of my life."

A quirked grin played on his lips. "You got it doll face." As he turned to exit you released a sigh of relief, thanking whoever was listening for giving you a few mere minutes of peace. Well, it was peaceful until the boy turned around to face you once more with a sheepish look on his face.

"What is it this time?"

"I, uh, well, you see, uhm-"

Your eyes rolled into the back of your skull so fast and so far, you feared you may have received whiplash from the action. "Today please, I do have a life outside of listening to your incompetence."

A faint blush crept up the back of his next and up to his cheek bones. He once more opened his mouth to speak what you believed would end up being nonsense.

"You, you have very beautiful eyes," he whispered softly. He stood for a moment longer, giving you a bashful smile, then turned tail and ran out of the shop's door, fading from sight quicker than what should be humanly possible.
