Marco Pov
As we ate ice cream I kept looking at her, the way strands of her hair fell from her ponytail and the way her cheeks were flushed a little pink, her feelings are there I know it, she freaked out when I said date for crying out loud. As I finished I looked around as we sat on top of my jeep front, I slid down and she sat there with her legs crossed and finished the last of her ice cream, it was cute to say but I gotta stop, I have Jackie and I don't want to throw it all away because I like Star, wait do I like Star?

"That was amazing, here you go Marco, well now you can take me home, I'm pretty sure it's getting late"
I helped her down and she was against my chest and my cheeks turned red and I moved away from her "yeah of course, I'll take you home" when we arrived I grabbed her hand and she froze and looked down "Marco..what are you doing?" I leaned over and pulled her into a hug but I lingered a bit "You forget to give me your warm hugs"

she giggles and hugs back "Your acting so weird today Marco, is there something you need to tell me?" I blushed as she moved away from looking up at me "No, I'm fine why you ask?" She made a confused face and sigh a bit "Well, you've been acting kinda touchy and acting way to friendlier then you normally are, and your phone has been going off every minute?" I held the steering wheel a bit and took a deep breath

"I'm fine Star, that's what friends do, and I was making sure you won't get hurt again, I hate seeing you hurt" she moved closer to me in the seat and I watched how she leaned on my shoulder and wrapped herself around me and I slowly did the same, I felt calm and relaxed, and she nuzzles into my chest and holds onto me tight "I'm fine, I managed with bruises and bumps, what's really bothering you?" I hesitate a bit before I answer, I look in front and see cars passing by and I look down at her

"I don't know.." she moves and looks straight with neutral look on her face "okay, whenever you wanna talk, just come over okay? I'm here for you" I smiled and she left my side and I felt the warm leave with her, as I look at it looked like she was glowing "Bye Marco!" I chuckled as she yelled at me "Bye!" She entered her house and I went home, I get the ring I have for Jackie and set it in front of me and I called her

"Hey babe, I've been trying to reach you all day, where have you been?" Take deep breaths "Jackie, I'm sorry for not responding and answering back, I just.." she tilted her head with slight confusion "What's wrong? You feeling alright? Did I bother you?" I shook my head "Do you think, we're drifting apart?" She gives me a sad look

"What do you mean? Is this about thanksgiving fight we had, Marco I don't want to dwell on the past" I shook my head "Not that, Jackie be honest with me, did you make friends where you are?" She nods "How many are them are male?" She looked uncomfortable "Why does that matter?" "How many are male? And tell me if any asked you out"

she twirled her curl before answering "at least 3 are, and 2 asked me out, but I said no..but it would be a lie if I didn't find them cute or attractive" I nodded "Do you love me like you used to?" Her face was flushed and was making tiny noises "I love you.." but it sounded kinda force and she had guilt on her face "Jackie, did you hook up with them?" She avoided looking at my eyes "Did you?" I asked a little louder

"I did, but I was drunk..it was at a party..I'm sorry Marco" I chuckled and held the ring "Is that a ring?" I nodded "Yeah, spent all my bonus to buy it, and hearing these things coming from your mouth makes everything seem so clear" she looked annoyed because I told her the truth "So, is that it for us? No more Jarco?" I shrugged "I believe so, you can still come and visit as friends with mutual respect, and I know I'm not the man you need" she nods and sighs "Sorry Marco, I guess our spark died out.."

I nodded "Yeah, when you come I'll have your stuff packed or I can just move" she sigh "That's your place, I can ask Janna if I can move in with her.." after an hour of talking things out she hung up and I lay on the couch relieved and happy, now I could actually let my feeling out to Star but not yet, she still thinks I'm with Jackie "One step closer.."
