Ryan's pov

"One, two, three, four..."
The opening notes start smoothly. Today was going to be a pretty relaxed recording day. We finally came together and thought up of songs and lyrics. It was nice to take a vacation but it still seemed to work out better when we came back to the city. Where we began.
Brendon's part comes in. I can't help but get fixated over how his eyes close and the way his mouth moves to form the words.

"Film the world before it happens, film the world before it happens." He sings the last part in the mic smoothly. He opens his eyes and they meet my gaze. He raises his eyebrows at me like he was waiting for something. I shake my head and get back into focus.

"Uh, that was really good, I think we are gonna keep that one." I chuckle awkwardly. He laughs but I couldn't hear it behind the sound proof glass. His smile radiating as he high fives Spencer as they walk out.
Bob couldn't make it today that's why I was handling part of the producing. Brendon and Spencer walk out together still laughing over something I did. I threw them both a water bottle and Brendon and I sat on the sofa.
As I close my eyes and rest my head back, I feel Brendon's soft fingers run through my hair. He keeps doing that for a while.

"What are you thinking about?" He asks softly.

"Its just...I don't even know if I should tell you." I say hesitantly.

"What is it what's wrong?" He asks more concerned now.

"Well you know Keltie right...my girlfriend-" He winces at the word but I continue anyway. "Wants to meet up today..."

"Are gonna go?" He asks. He isn't touching me, his hand are on his side as he looks off into space waiting for my answer. I let out a breath.

"Yeah, she's supposed to be my girlfriend."

"Then what am I?" He snaps, looking at me with sharp brown eyes. I didn't say anything I couldn't.

"You know what? Forget it I don't even want to hear what you have to say." He gets up quickly and dismisses Jon's question as he walks out. The door slams. Silence.

"What did you do?" Jon said. I shrugged. I didn't do anything, that was the problem.

She was sitting there in the little café I was told to meet her at. It felt different now. This time she wasn't the most beautiful person I've ever seen.

"Hi babe!" She chirped as I sat down in the chair in front of her. I peck her cheek softly and she smiles. She takes hold of one of my hands. It was soft and delicate. Not like the rough blistered fingers Brendon has.

"So, how have you been? We haven't really talked since you came back from the cabin."

"Its just been a lot of recording and trying to find our sound. But its coming along and we are getting there." I smile and squeeze her hand like she would want me to.

"That's good, I've missed you." She says, her bottom lip jutting out.

"I missed you too." I replied. I wasn't lying when I said I did. She smiles then starts talking about her day. there's a sparkle in her eyes as she talks about how she's been doing. The faces she makes, the way her hand grips tighter around mine . She deserves the world yet sadly, I'm not giving it to her.

Brendon's pov

I wasn't surprised he didn't come after me when I left. Ryan isn't the type of the person to go after people. I walked to my car and got in. I put my head on the steering wheel. I'm so stupid. I shouldn't have reacted like that. He's in a relationship what was I thinking? The last thing I want to do is get in between the both of them.

"He cares about you a lot you know." I shot up immediately making me accidentally honking the horn. Jon just sat in the passenger seat laughing.

"How did you get in here?" I gasped. He looked at me with one eyebrow raised.

"You really are slow, the door was unlocked hello." Oh yeah. I must've been thinking so hard I didn't hear him come in.

"Let's go get something to eat, I haven't eaten all day and I'm starved." I jumped again knowing that wasn't Jon talking. I turned around to see Spencer in the back scrolling through his phone casually.

"You guys couldn't knock?" I snapped. I started up the car. "Where are we going anyway?"

"That one shake place down the street." Jon said as he turned on the radio. "We were gonna go but we figured you might wanna come with."

I rolled my eyes and pulled out of the lot. "Yeah Yeah whatever let's go, you guys are paying."

Brendons pov (cnt'd)

"I'm not saying he doesn't like you, it's just he has a lot on his mind right now." Jon says as he shovels a handful a fries in his mouth. I take a drink of my milkshake.

"Its just, I like him a lot and I don't want to get hurt."

"Don't worry you won't get hurt. He's just not ready to come yet."

"Then how do I really know if he actually has feelings for me like he says he does but yet he doesn't act like it?" He shrugs and dips a fry in his shake.

"I don't know man, all I know is he cares about you. The way he looks at you, talks about you. You aren't just a one night stand to him." That made me feel a little bit better. I figured I shouldn't be giving him a hard time after all.

"Thanks Jon, I really appreciate it."

"No problem." He says in between bites of his burger. "Are you gonna eat that?"

"Hey back off." I say putting a hand over my food prospectively.

"So when are you going to talk to him?" Spencer asks. I think about it.

"Probably not tonight cause he might be out with Keltie. That's the thing too, they make such a good couple. Why would I want to ruin that?"

"Oh please Bren, he's had feelings for you way before she came into the picture, you aren't ruining anything. Take what's yours!" I look at Spencer, I never knew he and Ryan ever talked about that stuff, I then look over at Jon.

"I agree." Is all he said. I look down at my shake.

"Okay, I will talk to him, but tomorrow." Spencer and Jon loon at each other as of they had accomplished something. Like they said I'm not ruining anything. Or am I?
