"Hawaii was amazing Prince Jeremiah. I loved every minute of it. You should come next time," Eileen told me.
"I don't think so," I shook my head. Eileen is my mother. She left me with that stranger and decided to come back into my life when Ole Boy started giving her a monthly allowance to be my mother.
She calls it back child support. But it's funny how she only started back coming around when I was 20 and Ole Boy was paying her. Five years, I've been dealing with her. She takes her monthly trips to different places and tells me about them when she gets back.
And if I don't visit her, Ole Boy threatens me with his business. But that still won't change the fact that I don't have a bond with either of them. "I always wished I'd had more children," she started.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you're so distant. I want to talk to you and you give me one word answers. You know. If it wasn't for you, I would be married with the four kids I always wanted. I sacrificed a lot for you," she stated.
"I'm sure you did," I replied. "What did you do in Hawaii?"
"Prince Jeremiah you should talk to me. Or at least talk to your father. I mean I don't understand why you keep visiting me if this isn't what you want," she started. Now here she goes. I don't think she actually wants me to visit her. I think she just knows if I stop, Ole Boy will stop supporting her lavish lifestyle. And I'm not gone support it. Fuck her.
"Queen Eileen, I think it's time for me to go," I said standing up. She did too.
"You know I hate it when you call me that. Don't fix your mouth to say those words no more," she stated. Eileen. Once Princess Eroeha of some small nation in Africa. Disinherited and disowned by the royal family because she had gotten pregnant out of wedlock. Because of me. How was that my fault?
Anyways. She moved to America in search of Ole Boy when she was pregnant. She believed he was a prince because of his name. Damn dummy. Anyways she found him and he didn't wanna deal with the either of us. So she raised me on her own, changed her whole entire life for me. And I cherished my mom so much. She was my entire world. She told me the story when I was six and I promised one day I would make her a queen.
Little did I know she was taking me right to Ole Boy. I begged her to come back to get me. But she went back to Africa. Her mom had died and apparently I wasn't wanted over there. She chose her Kingdom over me. She came back to America when I was 15 because she didn't wanna marry the man she was originally betrothed to before she met my father.
