How can the same man that makes me so mad
(Do you know what he did?) Turn right around and kiss me so soft
(Girl do you know what he did?) If he ever left me, I wouldn't even be sad, no
'Cause there's a blessing in every lesson
And I'm glad that I knew him at all
'Cause he is the truth
Said he is so real
And I love the way that he makes me feel
And if I am a reflection of him then I must be fly 'cause
His light it shines so bright, no
I love the way he speaks
I love the way he thinks
I love the way he treats my mama
I love that gap in between his teeth
I love him in every way that a woman can love a man
From personal to universal but most of all it's unconditional
You know what I'm talking about? That's the way I feel
And I always will, there ain't no substitute for the truth
Either it is or it isn't
'Cause he is the truth

                    Kyan P.O.V.

"Hi ladies," I smiled taking a seat.

"We missed you," Bethany cooed taking my hands into hers, then dropping down once she felt my ring. "Kyannnnn? Oh my God."

"Girl how much did that ring cost?" Teariny asked gazing down at it.

"I have no idea, but I love it so much," I smiled sitting back to admire it. My life has literally been a worldwind this past year, and honestly I've needed my friends and they've needed me but I haven't been here. I haven't been the type of friend that they needed, and I feel absolutely horrible. I never wanted to be the type of friend who got into a relationship and began neglecting her friends. And that's exactly the type of girl I turned into.

"Enough about me, how have you guys been? I know I've been MIA and I'm s-"

"Kyan, you're fine. All we want is for you to be okay. And you are. We know with everything going on in your life, what happened to you and your relationship with Jah. Telling your family, and trying to heal. That's a lot. Especially for a pregnant person," Bethany said squeezing my hands. "Kyan, we love you."

"Yeah, and besides. At least you're telling us about the engagement," Teariny smiled.

"Yeah, of course. I love you guys too."

"So, have you guys set a date?" Bethany asked with a smile. "I can't wait to plan a wedding. Can I be the maid of honor? Oh wait, you're gonna make Melanie your maid of honor aren't you? Have you two made up?"

"Yeah, okay. So about this whole wedding thing. We kind of... Um. We eloped," I blurted finally. "And I'm not sure if we can plan a wedding right now with everything going on. Maybe after the baby is born. But I married him last weekend in Vegas." They we're both quiet for a moment before bursting into laughter.

"You're so impulsive," Teariny shook her head. "What did you even say to get that man to marry you after what you did? Seriously. First you have a boyfriend, then baby daddy, now it's husband that we haven't even met. I just can't right now."

"Right? You would think he would have at least met the parents before she got pregnant. But noooo, not Ms. Kyan King," Bethany laughed along. I folded my arms mugging them. "No, no, all seriousness. When can we meet your husband Kyan?"

"He's here," I shrugged. "And you kind of already met him," I admitted.

"Who is it?" Bethany asked confused.
