Levi's Pov:

I hated to admit it, but Hanji's experiments brought more knowledge than I thought. The X cut on his hand had healed in less than three hours, of course it was still clearly visible, but it looked like it was at least a week old.

Shitty glasses had made cuts on several other parts of his body like his his chest or ankles, but here the healing took longer, the wound she made right above his heart had just started to close. It seemed like it was easier for him to regenerate his hands and limbs than the vital parts of his body. This was an important information for me, and plus I got to see him shirtless. Not that I cared, but he was well build and even had a nice sixpack. Ugh, brain, stop, I said I didn't care!

Apart from that, Hanji has also discovered something special in his blood.
(In this story they know more about science and human anathomy than they do in the manga and Hanji also has some modern lab stuff like a microscope, deal with it!)
It was some weird kind of hormone or stuff like that his body produced when he got injured. It caused the wound to heal faster and allowed him to regenerate ten times faster than a normal human would. Shitty glasses still tried to find out how it worked or why the healing time was depending on the area he got hurt.

This morning when I visited her she was working on a serum that should prevent Eren's body to spill this special substance so he couldn't heal as fast as he usally did. I've already spent more time in her lab during her experiments with the brat than I had in my entire life, but I guess it was worth listening to her endless speaches about Eren's fantastic healing ability and other science stuff.

It was now nearly two weeks since I caught the little thief and we finally made some progress. I had barely sleepen during this time and I've neglected my duties as a king. The stupid council has been spamming me nonstop with all kinds of "important" issues and problems they were too dumb to deal with on their own and the pile of paperwork on my desk was langer than the colossal titan.

I knew I had to keep my country as safe as possible, but, call me selfish I don't care, I was more concerned about my own safety right now. The survey corps and the garrison did a good job in protecting the walls and killing titans, so I wasn't too worried about that. There was a powerful person out there who wanted to kill me and take over as king and I had every god damn right to make it my top priority to find them. And at the moment I was satisfied with how far I've come. I knew I would get Eren to speak, sooner than later.

But right now I was sitting in my office, trying to get rid of that shit pile of paperwork in front of me. I've been sitting here for nearly four hours straight and by now it was late evening. Sometimes I really think being king isn't worth all the trouble. Tch, I can't change it anyway.

I was currently reading a file about a new tax law when somebody knocked rapidly at my door. I groaned in annoyance. What the hell do all this people want from me.

"Enter"

A young man, probably one of the castle servants bursted into my office. He was completly out of breath and it took a few seconds until he could speak.

"I'm..I'm very sorry for interrupting, your highness, but I have important news. Commander Smith ordered me to emmidiatly inform you."

This wasn't good. When eyebrows sent somebody to me, then the situation was serious.

"What does the commander want?"

"I think it's best when you read it yourself."

He handed me a sealed letter with the wings of freedom on top. I opened it and started to read.
