Chapter 23: Encounters

Eren's Pov:

The next days could be counted to the happiest days of my life. The relationship between Levi and me was advancing quite fast and it made me giddy to see him finally responding to me without hesitation. We still couldn't be seen together though, but I didn't mind at all, it just meant that I had Levi all to myself.

I had to stay in Levi's bedroom, because most of the people in the castle didn't even know I was there and for now it was better this way. I spent most of the days reading and every so often Hanji came to chat with me while Levi was doing his work as the ruler over the walls. Only during the night we had time for ourselves and each other and we filled the hours with countless kisses and touches, but never more. We had both agreed on taking it slow with sexual activities other than kissing and Levi was watching out that things didn't get too heated during the nights we spent together.

At first all we shared were light kisses, soft and testing and cuddels during the night, but with every evening Levi slipped back into his room, where I was already waiting impatiently for him, our need for each other grew stronger and our actions more reckless. Open mouthed kisses became our most common pastime and I loved every second with him, but he stopped every time it got too much.

I knew that we couldn't keep our relationship secret forever, but Levi had yet to convince the council that I was needed if we wanted to ever defeat the titans. Apparently Hanji wanted to make further researches about my super fast healing to find out how it worked and if it could be transfered to other soldiers, too. That would give us a huge advantage against the titans and could be the defining step towards humanities victory over them. But only if the council withdraws the bounty on my head, because sadly even as the king Levi can't make such an important decision alone and he can't work officially with a wanted criminal.

But right now was not the time to think about unpleasant things like this. Levi and I were sitting on his bed, me in his lap and my hands tangled in his slick black hair while we were kissing passionately. I could taste a hint of wine on his lips and I wondered how many glasses he had had. Levi ran his tongue over my bottom lip and I willingly opened my mouth, changingour gentle kisses into a fierce makeout session.

Our tongues battled for dominance, like always, and like always Levi was the one to take controle over the kiss. But I was getting better at french kissing and with a little more practice I would be able to match him and I got plenty of opportunities to practice. Levi's hands were running up and down my back as his tongue danced over my teeth. His touches sent shivers over my whole body and I made a sound of content when Levi's lips left mine and he trailed light kisses along my jawline and down my throat. He found a spot on the base of my neck where my skin was particularly soft and started sucking on it.

"What a pity that nobody must know what we are doing here behind closed doors, otherwise I would mark you all over to show everyone that you belong to me. For now this will have to do", he whispered against my skin and I gasped when Levi ran his tongue over the small bruise he had made.

"But it seems like you're already quite liking this, don't you?", Levi's chuckle was low and dark and the sexiest thing I had ever heard. A sound of pleasure escaped my lips as Levi continued to nipp at my skin, right above my collar bone.

"For someone..ugh.. who has declined all sorts of affection until a few days ago you seem pretty into this", I breathed out and Levi chuckled again.

"True, but it looks like you've awoken something inside me that wants nothing more than fuck you right into the mattress", he smirked, then he grew more serious. "I've never felt any sexual desire for a man or at least a woman, but you're different. I want to hold you and kiss you and spend as much time as possible with you, it seems like this thing inside me wants to make up for all the time that I have suppressed my feelings. And now that you've sneaked into my heart I want to make the most out of the time I have with you", Levi explained and pulled me back into a kiss without giving me a chance to reply, but I wouldn't have known what to say anyway.
