Eren's Pov

I didn't need much time to get to the old house we used as our "base", how Connie liked to call it. He and Sasha were only ten when we took them in and from what I've heard were they living somewhere near the Military Police headquater.

Connie's parents had died in some sort of accident and because there was nobody to take care of him, he had to live on the streets for over two months.
I was still wondering sometimes how he managed to survive for so long on his own. Mikasa and I had grown up in the underworld so we were used to the rough street life, but Connie's parents had a house above the ground and they were living a pretty normal life.
They were delivering stuff for these Military Police jerks, so he knew a lot of things about them. He even knew when they went to patrole the city and when their shifts changed, something that was very useful for us. It made it a lot easier for me to avoid bumping into them on my trips. These idiots barely changed the shedules during the past three years, so most of the things Connie told us back then were still correct.

Living so close to the Military Police has made Connie crazy about everything related to them and the military forces in general. He had even wanted to join the garrison when he was older.  Of course this was now not longer possible, seeing as we lived as wanted criminals, always hiding from the city guards.

Our house was located on the southern edge of the huge underground city. Down here this area was called the outher rim (*cough*Star wars reference *cough*), mostly because it was on the very outside of the city, close to the cave walls.
Barely anyone was living here, the streets were emty and so were most of the old, run down houses. But not ours. Armin found this place on one of our supplies searches, only a short time after we met Jean and the others.

It was an old cabin, not very big with only one floor, but the rooms were spacious and most of the furniture was still there and in a good shape. There was a kitchen and a bathroom, even though we had no running water,of course. Only the rich people could afford something that luxurious.

Still, for us, it was perfect. We had enough room for everyone, even after Connie and Sasha joined our group. The two shared a room and so did Armin with Mikasa, Jean with Marco and Ymir with Christa. I was the only one who had a room on his own because I often went out stealing in the evening and by the time I came back it was usally past midnight and I didn't wanted to wake anyone.

"Eren is back!"

I smiled softly as I could hear Sasha's exited voice through one of the windows of our home. I swiftly landed a few meters in front of the door, but before I could even knock it already flew open and I was engulfed into a tight hug by Sasha.

"Hey little one!", I greeted her as I softly pushed her a bit away from me, cause god damn, she was strong.
"How did you know I was coming?", I asked.

She grinned." I saw you through my window. I was waiting for you!"

"Of course you did." I ruffeled her hair and she giggled.

Sasha's parents left her when she was ten years old. They used to be hunters, but their hunting territory was growing smaller and smaller because of the fall of wall Maria, so there were not enough animals left to make a living out of it.
They usally left Sasha at home when they went on their hunting trips and one day, they just didn't come back.
Sasha had been standing in front of the window for days, waiting for her parents to come back home. At one point she must have realized that they wouldn't return, so she went to Sina where she bumped into Connie and then into us.
Still, every time I was on my stealing trips she would stay up until late night, waiting for me to come home, making sure I really came back.

"Eren!"

Again I was trapped in a hug, this time by Connie.

"Hey, Connie, how's everything going?"
