There was never a point in my life where I thought that I would want to be married, but you made me think that something like that was feasible. You gave me a part of myself that I didn't know existed before: a future.
The heartbreak you handed me, the pain and loneliness you graced me with gave me another part of myself. It's given me strength. A strength that's showed me how to say no, how to fall in love ceaselessly with myself before anyone else, and how, most importantly, to love without fear of rejection. Nothing could hurt me more than your rejection.
The only way out is up.
