Two: The Name is Iggy

"Hi."

I looked up and saw one of Third's teammate.

I smiled back. "Hi." Tiningnan ko ang likod nya but before I could say a word inunahan na nya ako.

"I'm alone." And he sit beside me.

Ang rude naman kung paaalisin ko sya kaya umipod ako ng konti to put enough space sa pagitan naming dalawa.

Nandito ako sa bench malapit sa gymnasium waiting for Haze. My dinaanan kasi sya sa library and I told her na dito ko na lang sya hihintayin. And of course hoping na makikita ko si Third. Nahihiya kasi ako na itext sya dahil ayokong masabi na clingy ako masyado lalo na't alam kong busy sya sa practice. We've been together for three months. Somehow, maayos naman ang relasyon namin and I already met his parent's and vice versa.

Awkward silence.

Simula ng sagutin ko si Third, we always hang out. Magkikita kami sa school, hahatid nya ako sa room ko, we ate lunch together, sa hapon hinihintay nya muna na makasakay ako pauwi before he leaves. Pero within our three months relationship, hindi pa kami naghahang out together with his friends. Yeah, they knew me pero hindi kami nagkakasama. Kaya eto, awkward o nakakahiya silang kausapin when Third is not around.

"So.... Miruna right?" He asked me obviously trying to start a conversation with me.

"Uh hmmm." I answer without looking at him.

"The name is Iggy. Third's best friend."

That caught my attention kaya tumingin ako sa kanya. Maitim ang buhok, dark brown eyes, matangos ang ilong, pinkish lips at maputi. Napaiwas ako ng tingin when I realize na matagal ko syang tinitingnan and he smirk.

"Ahh.. Ano, kilala kita kasi nakikita kita together with Third but I didn't know you were his best friend." I said without looking at him.

"What? Hindi nya sinabi sayo na ako ang best friend nya? Grabe talaga yang si Third, nakakasama ng loob." He said dramatically.

I laugh. "Nakalimutan lang nya siguro. Asan nga pala sya?"

"Kausap ni coach kanina ng umalis ako sa gym. Hindi ko lang alam kung nasan sya ngayon."

"Ahhh." Tatango tango kong sagot kay Iggy.

Awkward silence. Again.

"Gu--"

"Miru!"

He was cut off when someone called my name. Halos sabay pa kaming lumingon. It's Haze.

Tumayo ako sa bench ng nakalapit sya samin. Nanlaki ang mata ni Haze when she saw Iggy then smile na halatang nagpapacute.

"Hi Iggy." She greeted him sabay kagat labi.

Landi talaga ng babaeng to. Hahaha, napailing na lang ako.

"Hi." Iggy greeted back her with a smile.

Kilig na kilig naman ang lukaret kong bestfriend. I roll my eyes and grab her  hand at hinila paalis.

"Bye Iggy. See you around na lang." I wave at him ganoon din si Haze na hindi pa rin nakakaget over.

"Yeah, see you around."

"What are you doing here bro?"

Umupo kami ni Third sa bato na nasa tabi lang ni Iggy.

Iggy just smile. "What are you two doing here?" He took a glance of me so I give him a small smile.

Nandito kami ngayon sa tabing dagat where we usually hang out. Sa tagal na namin na nagpupunta dito, ngayon lang namin sya nakita dito.

"Well, this is the place where we usually hang out."

"Oh, the dating place huh?" Iggy asked with a grin.

"Yeah. What about you, why are you here?"

"I usually came here to........think."

"I didn't know that you, my friend is capable of thinking." At tumawa ng malakas si Third.

"Last time I check, I'm not a alien. So I guess, I am capable of thinking my friend." Iggy said frowning.

"Okay.... Then what are you thinking right now?" Inakbayan pa ni Third si Iggy.

O-kay ...na out of place ako? Siguro nga much better talaga na hindi sila kasama kapag lalabas kami ni Third. Nakakaselos ang closeness nila.

"Some sort of a --"

"-girl?"

"-stuff." Iggy finish.

"Oh, well.. You know you can always talk to me about stuff Iggy." Third tapped Iggy's shoulder.

"I know bro. Thanks." And he got up from the stone where he is sitting. "I better go now, sorry for interrupting your date thingy." Then he look at me. I nod at him.

"Yeah, you better be."

"They like you."

"No, they did not."

"Yes they are."

"No they didn't."

He held my hand and sigh.

"Would it be important if they like you or not?"

"Of course Third. Lahat ng tao na malapit sayo mas okay kung boto sila sakin para sayo. You do know how hard it is to approach people who didn't like you?"  I look at him with disbelief.

He sigh. "Alright. I'll talk to them and let's hang out with them when I got back."

I look at him with questioning look. "You're leaving?"

Tumango sya bilang sagot and scratch the back of his head.

"Kailangan kong ayusin ang application ko para sa entrance exam sa Manila."

"Di ba may social media naman para jan? Para less hassle na rin?" I ask him with a frown on my face.

He held my chin up and give me a quick kiss. "I know baby, but it would be better kung aayusin ko yun with me going there. Mas mapapabilis pa because after the application, I can take the exam right away." Paliwanag nya sakin.

I cross my arms on my chest.

"Whatever."
