Six: Why are You Running Away from Me?

"Miru wait!"

I run, yeah, literally. I don't want to see him.

"Miru! Ano bang problema mo?"

Hindi pa rin ako lumilingon. Mas binilisan ko pa ang takbo.

"Miru!"

"Hey! No shouting and running the hallway!" One of the teacher shouted.

"Sorry." We said in unison. I stopped running pero binilisan ko ang lakad.

"Miru, talk to me. What is your problem? Last time I checked we're good. We even watched movie last night."

"Why are you following me?" I shouted at him. Nandito na kami sa field ng school kaya okay lang magsalita ng malakas, I think? Pero pinagtitinginan naman kami ng schoolmates namin.

"And why are you running away from me?" Naramdaman ko na lang na may humawak sa braso ko.

"I-- I don't know." It came out a whisper and I look down the bermuda grass.

Bakit nga ba? Bakit ako umiiwas sa kanya?

"Come on." He drag me away the school campus. Nagpahila na lang ako still thinking kung ano ba talagang nangyayari sakin.

"Sino yan?" He asked me habang puno ng pizza ang bibig nya.

My phone keep on ringing and I keep on staring on it as if I could answer the call using my mind.

"It's-- it's Third." I said hesitantly.

"Ow." Ibinaba nya ang kalahating pizza na hawak nya. "Sagutin mo."

"Huh? O-okay." I closed my eyes before answering the phone.

"Finally." Third say's on the other line. "Bakit ngayon mo lang sinagot? Are you busy? Did I interrupt you? I'm sorry, I just missed you so much. I can't wait to go home and see you again."

Napangiti na lang ako sa sinabi nya.

"It's alright, I'm not that busy. May tinapos lang ako kaya hindi ko kaagad nasagot ang tawag mo, sorry. I missed you too Third." I heard Iggy cough.

"Who was that? Are you with someone?"

"Huh? N-No! Nandito kasi ako sa c-cafe near at our school, and s-syempre madaming c-customer. You know, you could've hear their cough because their just in the table right next to me." I said glaring to Iggy whose all ears to my convo with Third.

"Right. Wala ka bang klase --" I heard someone shouted on the other line. "Okay, be there in a sec." Third shouted back. "Sorry baby, I need to go. You take care there okay? I love you and oh, stay away from my team mates, hindi mo alam kung gaano kagago ang mga yun." Then he laugh na parang malaking joke ang sinabi nya.
