One: A Nobody

(Silee: see-lee)

After staring at a plain wooden ceiling that swayed for the past half hour, only then did silee finally make sense of what had happened.

Reincarnation.

If someone were to tell Silee it was real before any of this had happened, she'd most definitely laugh in their faces. She had once believed it possible but as the years had passed, that belief started to drift away.

As a powerful Magi in her past life, whom had seen nearly everything there was too see in the world, how could she not think to look for ways to stay young forever or live again. For years she had searched for one or the other, but for years she was only left disappointed. After sometime, she eventually forgot about the two and lived the life she did have.

However now, she felt that it is such a shame she had to discover that the latter exists right after being killed by a fool.

Slowly lifting her head up and looking around, silee found she was in what appeared to be a barn. Not a large barn, merely big enough to fit one horse and some stacks of hay.

Currently, she was lying on two stacks of hay lined up.

Not in a hurry to find out where she was exactly, silee laid back down and closed her eyes. When she had first woken up, silee had felt that her current body was in a state where just one punch could end it all for her. Her meridians were scattered all over the place and her main internal organ was heavily injured - her heart.

Taking in a deep breath, silee willed herself into a half-sleep state. This was something many young magi's would learn before practicing real magic, called 'Soul domain'

Soul domain was mostly used to establish a connection with your soul, the place where you draw your main power from as a magi. But when a magi matured in terms of knowledge and power, they'll find it can also be used to heal yourself from the inside out and many other things. It was the most effective method in healing internal injuries, if you know how to use it properly that is.

It took silee only a second for her to activate soul domain, instantly plunging her into the sea of her conscious.

Looking around at the vast red sea that boiled and stretched out around her, silee chose a direction that pointed north and started flying rapidly towards where her soul was located.

Time flew by until silee came to a stop in front of a small blood red ball that was the size of her fist, and slowly rotating in mid-air above the boiling seas.

This small ball was her soul.

It took silee many years to condense it into this shape as it once use to be the size of her body.

Seeing that her soul was still intact even after dying allowed the tension in silees shoulders relax as she reached out to grab it.

However, as soon as she made contact with her soul, the sea below and around her was thrown into a sudden turmoil. Terrible winds started whipping ferociously through the air and gigantic waves started crashing into each other like crazy beasts battling each other.

But all of this didn't faze silee in the slightest as her main focus was on the soul now cradled in her hand. Without delay, silee started mending the hole that was in her heart region of the soul while also clearing the meridians that had become blocked and scattered.

It was a slow and arduous job that couldn't allow for even one mistake but for silee, it was nothing she couldn't handle.

If one were to look closer, they'd see red wisps seperating from the soul and disappearing into the sea below. These wisps were the so called 'magic' and the sea bellow is, in an essence, her body.
