After a quick stop at the corner store to get his daily cup of coffee, Jim heads down to the train station.
This is his daily routine, and after twenty years he has grown accustomed to it.
He likes it, as much as a man who doesnt find himelf liking things can.
Being forty-two, Jim is still quite young.
But he has been consumed by his work, and he has yet to have a girlfriend. Even as a young man, he avoided all the girl that tried to get him to notice them, choosing to focus instead on his school work.
As the clock hits 8:17, the train pulls in and he goes to hi usual seat, three rows down and next to the window.
The seat next to him remains perpetually empty, no-one having sat there through out the whole time that he has been catching this certain train.
Jim has been doing this for years and he is happy with it.
But as we all know, change must aways come into play in people's lives.
