Jim was up all night last night.
He couldn't keep himself from worrying about Catherin.
So, as he sat there watching reruns of Law and Order and going through his bills, and maybe even occasionally having a bite of his ham and cheese toastie, he would find himself sitting there, staring off into space and wondering about what happened to Catherine.
And when he got up the next morning, he found himself too tired to think properly.
So that day, Jim went to work with a half-done tie, backwards pants an unbuttoned shirt and three cups of coffee.
Of course, one of the cups was for Catherine.
And, even though Kim went on to the train with high hopes, he came out of it feeling sad, and with an extra cup of coffee.
Because there was no Catherine, none at all.
