Chapter 10

"Baby, whats wrong?" asks my mother when i burst through the door, shaking. I smile wide, in a most-likely unnatractive way, so she can see my issue.

"Oh, shoot. I knew this would happen eventually." She mumbles, holding her arms out and motioning for a hug. I collapse into her arms and begin to sob,

"I just dont want to hurt him, Momma!" I sniffle between tears.

"Shhhh, honey it will be all right. You wont hurt him." she coos.

"But how could you know that?" I wail.

"Because he's your mate, your beloved. Darling you will eventually have to have some of his blood, but-"

"WHAT??" I scream.

"It's only natural, love." Says my father.

"But I, I..." I say.

"You know it doesn't bother me, Rose." Ash says. I whirl around and face him, since when did he get here?!

"I just...." I start, but don't know what I was going to say.

"I agree with your father, its only natural." She says.

"How many times am I going to have to do this??" I ask, alarmed.

"Oh, no worry there. Only once, love. I assume, anyway, that he will become vampire when you bite him." Says my father. I see ashton wince out of the corner of my eye.

"For now just go and sleep, love." My mother says. I groan.

"I can't."

"What?" Exclaims my father.

"Well at least I don't think I can." I explain.

"Why would you ever think that, love?" my father questions.

"I couldnt sleep last night. Rain says the vamp- well Im not growing any more and I won't have as much 'normal' anymore." I say, hoping it makes sense. My mom must have understood what my nervousness, because she comes foreward and wraps her arms around me.

"You need to rest." she whispers in my ear.

"I know," I sigh, "but I cant. My throat aches too much."

She sighs, but gives me a tired smile. For once I can see through to her ancient soul.

"You have a choice, fix it or find a way to stand it." She says, laying her hands on my arms and nodding. She walks over to my father and whispers something in his ear as well, before turning and smiling at me before they both leave. Ash just stand awkwardly on the other side of the room.

'You're going to have to do it at some point. Your heat is coming up soon.' says Rain. I sigh and drop into a sitting position.

'I know but I can't hurt him.' I reply.

'You aren't going to hurt him!!! You wouldn't have been paired up with him otherwise!!!' she replies, becoming irritated with me.

"You aren't going to hurt me." Ash says quietly, coming to sit next to me.
