Rosie's POV:

"Here." Henri says, passing us the roll of bandages. I thank him quietly and begin wrapping it around the wound of the boy in front of me.
"I'm sorry." I say when he winces as I pull the cloth tight.
"It's alright." He mumbles, continuing to try and mask his pain.
"Yeah. I'm sorry, bud. That's broken." Alice says, walking over with an ice pack.
"Wouldn't be the first time." He attempts to joke. I tie the bandage and we send him off, patching up the next person as much as we could. Eventually, all of the wounded have been patched up and we are on our way back to the camp. I sigh and curl myself closer into Ashton's arms.
"It's going to be good being home again." Alice mutters.
"You've got that right." I say. Even though we had been informed we were only gone for around two weeks, it had felt like forever. I smile as Ash holds me tighter. Everyone fell back into the comfortable silence and we sit, simply enjoying each other's presence. The drive is long, and for the first time in a month, I sleep peacefully and safely.

"Rose, wake up. We are here." A voice states, gently pulling me from sleep's grasp.
"Hmm?" I ask, stretching my arms out.
"Don't do that! You'll fall." The voice, which is now recognize as Ashton, says. I open my eyes and see his face right in front of mine. I blink a few times to adjust before I realize he is carrying me.
"You don't have to carry me." I blush, pulling my legs out of his arms and easing myself to the floor.
"I know, but I wanted to." He grins, taking my hand and continuing to walk wherever we were headed. I look over my shoulder and see that we were in the waiting room of the infirmary.
"How long was I asleep?" I ask, puzzled.
"Long enough for everyone but you to have seen the doctor." He teases, pushing my in the direction of the table where the doctor was working.
"Hey, Doc. Think you can give my Rose a check over?" Ash asks, slipping his arm tightly around me.
"Sure thing!" She replies cheerily.
"Alright, I have to go debrief my team, but do not let anyone near her until I get back." He commands before sending me one last look and walking slowly away.
"Let's get this started then, shall we?" Smiles the doctor. I smile in return and lay back as she begins to examine me. The blood I had been given in the morning was wearing off and my wounds were slowly reappearing.
"Why are they coming back?" I ask, wincing as she gently rubs a cool cream over my whiplashes.
"I assume that it would be because of your unique case. You might only be able to permanently heal with Ashton's blood, from what I've seen of you so far." She suggests, continuing to smear the ointment on my back.
"Alright then," she says, laying a cloth over the cream and rolling my table over to a strange machine. I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and gasp. My face is hollow and almost every inch of my skin is covered in bruises. The previously hidden abuse was now clear to see, and it was horrifying.
"We will fix you up, darling. Don't worry." Assures the doctor. I nod.
"Now, lean back as I scan over you for any internal damage." She smiles, running a small device over my body. She gasps, and I feel her retract over the same spot again.
