Chapter 16- AJ and Gav and the First Date

Author’s Note: So when the contest was all said and done with we had a winner. They gave the best review in the world to me, they also guessed the answer of my favorite character which is Blaine, but I would like to say I really only liked his character in season 2 and 3. Hated him in season 4 kind of still hate him, but oh well. The winner was cherylgirl otherwise known as Marianne. Thank you for your support and idea, which was for a chapter of AJ and Gavin. She absolutely loves them and already ships them. So here is the next installment of Love is Among All of Us.

5 years later.

            The ending of Junior High is such a lovely thing. You say goodbye to old friends and say hello to new ones. You say goodbye to the building that taught you. This is the step before High School and to be honest AJ was nothing but excited. He would be entering High School at 12. AJ was even offered to go to other high schools, but he wanted to go to the one his friends would be attending; where his cute best friend would be attending.

            Gavin and AJ pretty much grew up together. They both loved each other on a level that was so high, but they still haven’t become boyfriends. This upset AJ beyond no other, but he had hope Gavin would ask him out one day, hopefully. AJ came out in his 7th year, both of his dads were nothing but supportive. They both saw it coming knowing that AJ had a thing for Gavin. The girls in the drama club, where AJ spent most of his time, supported AJ with everything there talented fingers could give.

            AJ spotted Gavin talking and giggling with a bunch of girls. Gavin came out in the middle of 8th year. The guys he played basketball with were very supportive and some would even talk to Gavin about hot boys that would pass when they were playing, but other than Jerry, who was bisexual the rest were straight. The world really isn’t prejudice anymore besides the few states that still hadn’t allowed gay marriage. Since AJ was born 9 more states have approved it.

            Once Gavin saw AJ looking his way Gavin made his way to AJ hoping to talk to him. When Gavin finally reached AJ, AJ could only see 2 expressions radiating off of Gavin, those being excitement and nervousness. If this was what AJ hoped it was, this was going to be the best day of Austin James Tiberius Hummel-Anderson’s life. Gavin finally spoke breaking AJ out of the small trance that AJ was in. “AJ I was umm… wondering… umm gosh this is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be… wouldyouliketogooutwithme?”

“Umm… Gavin could you speak a little slower please I didn’t quite catch that?”

            Gavin drew a breath in very slowly then finally gained enough courage to finally get what he wanted out. “Would you AJ like to go on a date with me, tonight?” Gavin was full on blushing almost like a thing of ketchup just worse. Gavin was not expected by the response he received.

            AJ broke out in a huge smile that made the stars look dull like they never really shined. Then the next thing Gavin knew was that he had a whole armful of AJ literally bouncing up and down, with AJ’s legs wrapped around his waist. AJ had his face buried deeply in the crook of Gavin’s shoulder. Then there was a soft yes that escaped AJ’s mouth. Gavin laughed and said he would be over at 6:30 to pick it up.

            It was already 4 o’clock giving AJ two and a half hours to make himself look presentable. AJ quickly said goodbye and rushed to his bike and quickly peddled to his house; this was the most exciting thing that he has ever encountered in his life. When he reached the house that was 2 stories with beautiful red and black paint coating the house making it look like a bestseller, but the whole neighborhood looked like that. AJ pushed the white door open and rushed up stairs knocking past his teenage sister and her boyfriend Huy, ‘They finally got together, jeez they’ve been pining after each other for years now glad they got that over with!’
