His icy blue eyes stared back at her, she could see the memories start to come back slowly. She didn't even realize she had forgotten about the current situation until she heard gunshots behind her, and Steve's voice over her earpiece.

"Emily, what's your status?" He practically yelled over all the commotion around them. "Emily, what's your status?" He repeated.

"Your air support is down." She answered, then looked back to Bucky. "I'm on my way to the Helicarrier right now." She bit her lip slightly, Bucky looked so helpless. She had been in his shoes many times before. But without another word she ran, leaving him behind. She turned her head to look over her shoulder to see that he had ran too. She pressed on her earpiece to get in contact with Sam.

"Sam, I'm gonna need a ride." She told him as she looked over the edge of the Helicarrier.

"Everyone needs the man with the wings." He sighed sarcastically. "What happens once these things break? You gonna kick me out?" Emily could hear he was turning around and coming to where she was.

"I'm sure there's something they can have you do besides fight." She smirked. "Like cooking or doing the laundry."

"Oh hell no." He laughed, landing behind her. "Come on short stack, time to save the world." She rolled her eyes, not too found of her new nickname, but now wasn't the time to argue about it. She walked over to him and he flew her to the Helicarrier.

She stepped onto the platform where the different computer chips were. She opened the holster that was around her waist and went to pull out the chip but couldn't find it.

"Shit!" She mumbled to herself.

"What's wrong?" Steve asked, hearing her over the earpiece.

"I lost my chip, it must've fell out while I was fighting." She ran a hand through her hair. "I'm sorry Steve, I ruined the plan."

"Don't worry, I have a backup chip." Steve assured her. "I'm on my way to you right now." He told her. Five minutes later she heard him land and try to make his way to the platform she was on. "Where are you?"

"What do you mean where am I? I'm on the platform by the computer chips." Emily asked looking around.

"No, you're not." He sighed, slightly annoyed at her.

"Yes I am. I'm looking directly at it."

"No, you're not."

"And what makes you so sure that I'm not?"

"Because I'm starring right at it too and you're nowhere to be seen."

Emily groaned in aggravation, looking around for him to see if he was anywhere to be seen but he wasn't. She then heard another thud, like someone landing behind her.

"Oh no." She sighed, turning around then taking a step back.

"What Emily, what's wrong?" Steve asked, he sounded closer now. That's when she realized he was just on the other side of the Helicarrier, and made his way over to her.

"We have company, and you may not like it." She turned when she noticed him directly behind her, trying to block her from seeing the person that was now behind her. But the fact that he was probably over 6"0' tall and could see right over her, he saw who it was. He pushed her behind him almost as if it were instinct.

"People are going to die Buck." He looked at the man standing in front of him. He didn't respond, he just stared blankly. In fact, he didn't even seem to be looking at Steve, he was starring past him, at her. Steve looked at Emily, then back to Bucky, a defeated look on his face. "I can't let that happen." Steve added, but no reply from him, only silence and a menacing glare. "Please don't make me do this." He begged, but again was only met by a blank stare.
