(Highschool! Reader X Luffy X Law) Real Magic

Suspicions...

Kidd narrowed his eyes at the acidic liquid in his hand as he layed against the side of the school with only his half empty beer bottle, classes ended twenty minutes ago, and there was still no signs of Killer or the corpses of his prey.

The redhead was just thinking about calling him on his phone even though Killer never answered his phone while on a hunt, when the blonde finally appeared with a troubled frown scorched into his lips.

That couldn't be good.

"So?" Kidd uneasily growled, "where are they? Where's the nerds?" Killer just loudly sighed and lowered his head in complete shame, no way he could met the other in the eyes after blowing it.

The redhead was greatly shocked at this, Killer never failed in a hunt, when Kidd wanted some guy's head on a platter, his right hand man not only had it brought, but he had it cooked to perfection with a side of extra agony.

"Killer, explain yourself" the brute didn't really look it, but he was pretty fair and always wanted to hear someone else's side of the story, he was...a fair leader per say.

Plus, he had a sneaking feeling that the new girl might've had something to do with it, because he's never had any trouble like this from the two nerds before, no, this was completely new to him, and this was certainly a new thing he didn't like.

"Well, after I chased them through the hallways, they went into the gymnasium and split up" Kidd nodded and took a swig from his drink as the blond continued.

"I chose to follow the new girl since she seemed slower and less experienced than the other two in fleeing, then finally I had her cornered in the empty part of the school on the top floor"

Kidd furrowed his invisible brows in confusion and slight anger, "how the hell did you lose her when you caught her in there?"

His close eyesight didn't miss how the other man started to shift with an unsettled frown on his face, as if he wasn't even sure for himself how he was going to say what he was about to say.

"She...she jumped..out the window..."

The bully almost did a spit take as he choked on the beer still halfway down his gullet, after finally dealing with his coughing fit he stared wide eyed at the nervous blond with unbelieving eyes of shock.

"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!? SHE'S CRAZY!" Killer grimaced and nodded his head at the memory of feeling absalote horror and fear when seeing her fly out the building with a lunatic grin plastered onto her cheeks, he almost believed she was committing suicide.

"Is...is she, dead?" There was no way anyone could survive a fall like that...or at least not without a one way trip to the hospital.

Killer felt his unease return as he shook his head, "no, she's actually fine, fit as a..fiddle"

Kidd motioned him to explain with a narrow of the eyes as Killer continued, "when I looked out the window she was laying in a yellow flower bed and laughing like a complete and utter madman...Kidd..I believe there's something very....off, about her, she's got screws loose...somewhere in that head of her's"

"Bed of flowers?" Was all Kidd said, there were no flowers around the school, the groundskeeper hated flowers.

Now feeling the slightest more than a bit skeptical of this story, Kidd crossed his arm as he tossed the now empty bottle over his shoulder, not caring at all for the sickening smash that sounded afterwards.

"Let me see this so called, flower bed" his right hand man nodded and led the way.

Kidd was concerned, very concerned, this was not supposed to happen in his world of perfect harmony of endless rage and easy go violence.

Just like the blond said, there was a pefectly bunched up bed of flowers right there, but that was where the very problem lied.

They were growing straight out of the freaking concrete, Kidd swore not only were the seemingly innocent plants not there before today, but there were no cracks in the hardened rock to let them sprout before since it was done only a few days ago.

It was like...magic...unatural, unexplainable magic, and the redhead didn't like this strange tip in the scales of power whatsoever, to him the appearence of these flowers just started something much bigger then him and Killer's daily game of beat and grab with the nerds.

Oh no...this just signaled a school war.

You continued to giggle while talking to your friends, after rushing back into the forest you immediately began to tell your amazing tale of near death and glory.

"So you just jumped out the freaking window!? You idiot!" Nami screeched, Robin fondly giggled at the photo of Killer that you shared as the two stooges threw a huge cow.

"YOU IDIOT WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING!? IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE THAT FLOWER DUST!!"

"AHHHHH!! MY BELOVED (Y/N)-SWAN!! ARE YOU OKAY!? ARE YOU INJURED!?!? DO YOU NEED A HEALING KISS!?"

You just giggled at their innocent antics as Robin went off into the next room to print out your photo for the scrap book, then ne more complaint later and the two began to rumble.

But..you couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy, Luffy and Law still didn't show up like you thought they would have...Killer definitely didn't catch them, you checked on that..

Did they possibly...leave you behind on purpose?

You didn't want to accept it, but that was in fact a possibility, everyone in the forest has kinda been a bit against you having human friends ever since they showed up and hanged around, 'they are untrustworthy, and betrayal runs through their blood like that man' Sanji would always say.

Plus there was Zoro who has more than once suggested you remove the two's memories of your magical abilities, in fact he's been insisting on it at almost every chance he got.

..Maybe they were...right...?

Nami quickly sensed your emotions shift and gave you a comforting hug from behind, "Sssshhhhhhhhhh, what's wrong (Y/N)-chan?" The two fighting nekos froze as well as everyone suddenly start to wrap you in a concerned group hug.

"I-it's just...did they leave me behind?" Zoro's brow twitched knowing just who you were talking about.

The group was unsure how to respond when Robin spoke up, "(Y/N), it's their nature to betray others, even if they're pure...you still have us even if they really did betray your trust and friendship"

Nami nodded and held onto you tighter with a somewhat possessive strength, "those humans never deserved it anyway, you got us!"

"Yeah, and if they did use you, then we'll cut them up! Right marimo?" Zoro suprisingly nodded his head as everyone all joined in wraping you up in a possessive hold.

"You're our dear friend (Y/N)...we'll take care of you no matter what...in fact, maybe we should consider using that spell to block off the forest..." Robin whispered that last part away from you.

Your teary eyelashes started to grow heavy as you slowly started to fall victim to an exhausted sleep from the sheer warmth of their bodies, but that's when a very familiar yell caught your attention.

"HEYYYY (Y/NNNN)!!!!! WE'RE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Your eyes burst into joy as you rushed to the window, sticking your head out, you caught sight of the two teens making way through the field towards the house with two stupid smiles on their faces as they ran like the wind.

You were so busy rushing down the stairs to meet them, you didn't notice the very jealous huffs of the others.
