Perhaps, considering the knife was poisoned, the murderer had science before hand and maybe their mum’s a surgeon so they’d have access to a scalpel somehow. I don’t know. I’m only thinking of logical explanations.
“I’m going to ask who was out of class between 1:20 and 2:00 so I can narrow down my search for the murderer.” I declare to my friends while we’re sitting in my room, trying to figure out who the killer could be, as Ayesha goes downstairs to the toilet.
“Or, you could check the CCTV camera which points towards the car park.” Philip remarks.
“WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THAT BEFORE. WE COULD KNOW WHO THE MURDERER IS BY NOW.” I scream at them all, as I hear someone knock on the door.
Bailey stands up and runs down the stairs. After a few minutes, he returns with a note in his hands. He looks as though he’d just read a murder confession...maybe because he had.
“It’s from the killer. Do you want me to read it?” He asked with a quivering voice.
We all nodded.
“You know me, I know you and this is your first clue; I am coming for your friends even though you don’t follow the latest trends, I know you wish to amend so a text I will send.”
Ayesha enters the room again and remarks in a surprised voice,
“What happened?”
Eddie reads her the note, before they begin to make out. Following this occurrence, I see Lukas turn to Philip and they too begin to make out. I glance towards Bailey, while he nervously scratches his neck and pretends to intensely study the note. It’s awkward.
A long silence is broken by Lukas murmuring,
“We need to take this a step further Philly. Do you mind if we use your bed Laura?”
“Yeah, sure. Go ahead and make love to each other IN MY BED.” I yell sarcastically.
“Thanks Laura, lifesaver, so...would you mind...evacuating?” He asks, obviously not noting the sarcasm.
Me, Ayesha, Eddie and Bailey all laugh while Philip and Lukas stand awkwardly next to my bed. I can’t believe they actually thought I was being genuine. If they want to take things ‘a step further’, they can do so in their own beds.
“I was being sarcastic guys. You’re not going to have sex in my bed.” I say calmly, with a wink.
“We should probably go soon,” Bailey tells the group. “but do you mind if I have a quick word with you first Laura?”
“Sure. Go ahead. I’m not being sarcastic now by the way.” I reply.
My friends go downstairs and wait in the porch for Bailey to finish.
“Do you think it’s Ayesha?” He whispers.
“I hope not but I honestly don’t know. I don’t think she’d be capable of murdering someone.” I say what I feel is true.
“Oh...and...I love...” He begins.
“You love...?”
“I love...smarties...yeah smarties.”
“Ok cool...bye...” I finish the conversation.
Was he going to say what I thought he was? I guess I’ll never know. Anyway, my main priority is finding who murdered Anna, at the moment. I honestly don’t think it was Ayesha, even if she and Anna didn’t get along perfectly.
