Wrong (One Shot)

I continued to run, tears blurring my vision. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. Betrayal.  One of the worst kinds. Unforgivable. I could hear one of the two perpetrators not far behind me.

 I can't let them find me. I refuse to face those liars right now!

I took to the trees and moved from one to the other in a bid to getaway. I never wanted to see either of them ever again. 

"Tenten wait!" Neji cried, "you don't understand!"

"I understand perfectly you sick liar!" I shouted angrily, "you two-timing jerk!"

"You don't mean that Tenten!" Neji cried his voice almost sounding desperate.

"Yes, I do!" I shouted, "with one of my closest friends of all the people! What kind of person are you?" I stopped at a branch and he did the same.

"You can't tell anyone," Neji said as he panted.

"Is that the only reason you followed me?" I asked him darkly.

"Promise me," Neji begged.

"I promise you nothing," I snarled hatefully.

"Then do it for her," Neji pleaded, "a revelation of this would ruin her. Please, don't tell."

"Most of her friends would drop her. Sounds merciful to me," I said coldly, "if I got her alone things would be much worse. Same for you!"

"Please don't tell Tenten," Neji begged me, "I'll do anything," he told me.

"No!" a voice screamed desperately from the ground, "leave us alone Tenten!"

"Hinata go home!" Neji ordered.

"No!" Hinata shouted, "I swear if you make me lose him I'll kill you! I'll frigging kill you Tenten!"

I was shocked by her words. One of my dearest friends was willing to threaten me over a guy? One who just happened to be her cousin. Soon Hinata was in view and she looked insane. Kunai in hand and ready to pounce. "You are sick," I whispered. 

"I can't stand kissing Neji in the shadows and watching the charade he has with you in the open," Hinata panted, "he loves me, he loves me!"

Despite her crazed resolve, Hinata was shaking. She didn't really want to kill me. Only have Neji to herself in whatever kind of sick love story they had carved for themselves. "I'll keep quiet as long as you stay away from me, both of you," I said wiping my tears away, "We're done."

Hinata gave a sob of relief and dropped her weapon. "Thank you! I'm sorry that this happened. Neji didn't think you would really fall for him. Please forgive us!"

"Tenten I know that you still love me," Neji said and came one tree closer to me, "maybe we can stay frie..."

"Stay back!" I screamed at him feeling nothing but disgust, "you're a disgrace!"

"Stop it!" Hinata was crying, "we love each other," she said tearfully, "it's not our fault."

Neji turned away from me to comfort Hinata. It was truly over. The relationship with the one I loved and the friendship between me and the shyest girl I knew. "Forget about her," Neji hugged Hinata close, "I don't care what anyone says our love is pure and our families will just have to sort out all the stupid ninja and personal politics themselves. We'll be okay."

They started kissing and I cringed. I had seen enough and took off in the opposite direction.

This is so wrong.
