Shay's P.O.V

Shay-

i saw you on the today show! you boys sounded great :)

Michael-

thanks :) but you shouldn't have woken up early to watch it. not that important.

Shay-

well i didn't...dvr :P

Michael-

okay good! we're not worth getting up early for.  sleep > 5sos

Shay-

I think you are! i was pretty tired after last night. it was fairly emotional seeing all of you again!

Michael-

well we were all happy to see you :) & calum still wants to make sure you're coming to the show tomorrow. he's yelling at me to ask you.

Shay-

i wouldn't miss it. of course i'll be there.

Michael-

do you maybe want to hang out again today? i was planning on relaxing the rest of the day so i'll be here if you still wanted to?

Shay-

definitely :) i was just texting Emma & i think the four of us girls are going to get lunch together & then i'll come by you?

Michael-

sounds like a plan!

Michael-

"So how was it?" Emma asked once the four of us girls were sitting down for lunch. "Seeing Michael?"

"It was so weird."

"Why?" Payton asked me. "Why weird?"

"Because he's Michael! & I'm Shay! & I haven't seen him in months."

"You two are even more perfect for each other than Ashton & I am." Carter laughed. "But like what were you thinking last night? What the hell was going through your head during all of that?"

"I don't know." I sighed. "He's still Michael, you know?"

"The Michael that you fell in love with?" Emma asked and I nodded. "I knew it!" Emma squealed. "God, I knew it. There's no way you couldn't love the kid."

"But I don't really know where he stands. & I don't want to do what we did last time, you know? I don't want to rush into anything. I don't actually know how I'm feeling at all."

"Oh honey, it's not rushing." Carter said. "You're doing so well, he's in a great place. I think the timing couldn't be more perfect. & he definitely still loves you."

"How can you tell?"

"Are you kidding me?" Emma joined in. "The way he looked at you all of last night? Of course he still loves you."

"& you went back to his room." Payson added. "What happened then?"

"We just talked. We sat across the room from each other & we talked more about my recovery. He told me more about tour. That was it."

"Damn it. I wanted you to kiss." Payson pouted. "Once you left, Calum & I made bets if you'd hook up."

"Stop. I wouldn't want to do that anyways. But we had this awkward talk about being friends last night."
