"He sounds like my type of guy."

Shay's P.O.V

"Morning cutie." I heard Michael mumble as I had woken up & rolled closer into him. I felt him kiss the top of my head. "How did you sleep?"

"Probably my best night sleep in the last eight months."

"I couldn't agree more. & now this is the best morning I've had in eight months too."

"I miss morning cuddles with you, Mikey."

"Well now they're back whenever you want them."

"I want to stay here all day."

"Well we can't stay all day but we can for awhile."

"That works for me." I cuddled even closer into his chest. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too, baby."

"I'm happy I'm your baby again."

"Me too." He paused. "So hey, last night you said you were a new Shay. Tell me about her."

"Well her name is still Shay Parker." I started laughing. "She still have blue eyes."

"My favorite color."

"Yea. But her hair is shorter. So when she puts it up in a pony tail, it sometimes falls out & gets all in her eyes."

"Like when you'd give me a blowjob? Will I need to hold it up for you now?"

"Michael Clifford!" I sat up as I slapped his chest. "Stop it!"

"I'm kidding, sorry. But seriously. Tell me how you're different. I want to get to know this Shay."

"Well I'm a lot more mindful of myself. I've been writing a lot more of my thoughts & feelings down. Instead of focusing on novel type writing, I write out what I need to. I think I might be a little bit more selfish but not in a bad way. I just don't want to ever sacrifice my sobriety or my sanity so sometimes I say no to things more often than usual. I need to do what makes me happy and prioritize myself."

"Well that's understandable. It's okay to put yourself first."

"Yea. I definitely gained some weight so I'm sorry about that."

"Really?"

"Yea. I've put on some weight too."

"I hadn't noticed."

"You don't have to lie."

"I'm serious, Shay you're beautiful. And so what if you did? You'd never have to apologize about that, especially to me."

"Well thanks. I don't know, I think I just look at life differently. I value family so much more than I used to, I have a different vision of my future. I feel more me. It's cliche but I mean it. I think you'll notice it the more time we spend together."

"Then I can't wait to get to know her."

"Thanks, Mike."

"I think I may have changed a bit too but I'm still mostly me. I like making sex jokes, I eat a lot of crap food, I don't like working out, I play video games, & I hate sleeping with pants on."

"He sounds like my type of guy."

"Does he?" Michael laughed before he pulled me down on top of him & then he hugged me tight. "Damn Shay, I don't know what you do but I have this complete happiness over me right now. I honestly don't think I could be happier."

"You do the same to me. I think I woke up smiling."

"Shay, I am literally so happy right now. I don't ever want to lose this feeling again." I felt him kiss my cheek.
