Chapter 4
Moving Day
"Damn.." I cursed, as I remembered that today was moving day. I wondered how awkward it would be living with another pack. I wasn't really worried though, wolves are creatures of brotherhood, that's why most are in packs. Rouges are a different story....they love power. The rouges that attacked our pack were ruthless, killing everyone in sight. It's a miracle we escaped with our lives.
I was almost through packing, when Cam entered my room. "Hey Cam, what's up?" I asked.
"I wanted to know if you needed any help" he answered.
He was looking as fine as ever, with his polo shirt and dark jeans. He was always so clean cut, I often wondered how we were friends. I was adventurous, while he was cautious. Opposites attract I guess.
"I'm pretty much finished, just gotta grab my stuff from the bathroom" I said.
I walked to my private bathroom and grabbed my handful of toiletries. I turned around to exit, when I bumped into Cam.
"S..sorry, I didn't mean to do that" he apologized. He began to help me pick up my shampoos and other things.
"What's going on with you? You seem like you have something on your mind." I asked him. Cam was usually the calm and collected one, but not today or the past few days.
He walked over to my door and closed it. "I found my mate" he whispered.
"Why are you whispering?" I asked. His anxiety about his mate was troubling.
"It's because.....she is your mate's girlfriend" he answered. He hung his head down. "She knows we are mates but she rejected me because she wants to be Evan's Luna." He finished.
"He never said anything about a girlfriend, I didn't smell her scent on him or anything" I replied. What the hell was Cam talking about?
"They don't have any classes together, she's a junior so she doesn't take any of the senior classes we take and she also left school early because she was feeling sick. That might be why you didn't smell her, but its true. I met her in the hall before she left and I knew instantly that she was mine." He explained.
"I can't believe that asshole! He actually expects me to be his Luna when he is seeing someone else?" I exclaimed angrily.
"Well you aren't exactly single yourself" he pointed out.
It was true. Maybe this was a good thing though. If Evan had a girlfriend....then I could still be with Kayden without guilt. This was a good idea, until I remembered that Evan's girlfriend was also Cam's mate. If I never mate with Evan then Cam will be without his mate. Damn.....stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"You are my alpha and I will respect any decision you make, but I just thought I should let you know about my situation. Your choice will affect my life either way..." He informed me.
