(changed a few things a bit)
Today the boys all had to go to an interview. I didn't bother asking what it was about, I figured it was a job interview, since they never seemed to be doing anything, not that I minded.
They had offered to bring me but I immediately declined. I did not want to be around a bunch of people, I'd probably have an anxiety attack.
With a lot of convincing, they let me stay home alone. I promised I'd eat, and they specifically made meals so it would be easy for me to find something and I wouldn't have an excuse not to. I was sure they'd check the garbage to see if I threw it away. They left before j woke up, and promised to be back before 2 pm. They made me promise to text or call if I needed anything.they also made me promise not to leave the house, now let anyone in.
Of course, I hated waking up without Luke by my side, but to was nice to just be alone for a while, that is, until I got bored out of my mind. I'd watched tv, eaten breakfast, cleaned the house a bit, attempted to take a nap, and I'd run out of things to do. They didn't own any books. All their movies looked scary. And it looked sooo nice outside. I just wanted to go into the backyard for a while, soak up the sun.
I would've texted Luke and asked him but I didn't want to bother him in the middle of something important. I opened the door and stepped onto the deck in the backyard, I to the sun.
They wouldn't mind just this, right?
I enjoyed the sun for a few minutes before going back inside. I checked the time.
1:04. I should eat lunch.
I finished my lunch in just a few minutes, then sat bored again.
The boys said they'd be back before 2. How soon before 2?
I decided to text Luke.
Hi. Will you guys be home soon? I'm very bored. Xx
Yes, baby girl, well leave in a couple minutes, we should be home in about half an hour. See you soon. Xx
Ok, drive safe. Xx
I sighed. A half an hour is a long time. I should've asked if I can go in the back yard.
I step outside, a bit worried about getting in trouble, and enjoy the breeze and sun that warms my skin. I go to the edge of the deck and lean over it, looking at the pretty view. You could see the city, with the warm afternoon sun peeking over the top of a tall building.
I sat staring at the city for a couple of minutes, and when I went back inside, I checked the time again.
1:18.
I watched tv until the boys came home. Ashton came in the door first, hugging me. Then Michael, who also hugged me, then calum, who mumbled a hey before running upstairs, then Luke, who smiled widely and engulfed me in his arms, dropping the bag he'd brought with him, and rocking us back and forth as we talked.
"Hi baby girl."
"Hi Lukey."
"Did you eat?"
"Mhm..."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"Were you good?"
"Mhm... I went out on the porch in the backyard, I know you said not to go outside, but I was bored and it looked really warm and I wanted to see the view. I didn't think you'd care if I just went on the porch for just a few minutes."
