June Winter

When I reached their table I asked the pizza orders, which took them too long to decide.. They've stared at that map for already ten minutes so what's taking them so long. I mean there aren't tons of Pizza so just pick a damn pizza. I started to get annoyed and had to calm myself before I would say anything rude. After a lot of 'what do you take, babe' 'I can't pick between peperoni or margaritha' and a lot of sighing and stupid laughing they finally decided to order. I wrote the orders down and headed back to the kitchen, well I tried because someone stopped me. "I didn't knew you worked here" I turn around surprised, I didn't expect him to talk to me since he was with his friends. One of the things that I'd rather avoid. A group of friends I have to pass.

"Since today" I say looking him in the eyes on my usual cold and boring tone "I didn't knew you would ever come around here in this city" I say back to him. Honestly meaning it. I had no idea this was a place Harry would ever come, it's old and boring and it really doesn't seem like a place for Harry to come with his weird friends. Coincidence?

"Visiting friends" He says pointing at his two friends sitting opposite of him. I look at his friends and nod. His friends make me nervous, they look not friendly at all, I mean yeah they're good looking but their facial expressions say: don't mess with me. One guy with short black hair pushed into a quiff brown eyes and loads of tattoos, and a kid with dark brown hair, also in a quiff and also brown eyes. They both had facial hair which made them even scarier in some way. The six pair of eyes look at me as if they're expecting me to say something. All I do is stare back and forth at Harry and his mate's. Flashbacks pop into my head, again, and I shake my head to let the thoughts go away.

"I need to get back to work, bye harry" I give him a little wave and walk away, back to the kitchen. I hear him calling bye after me but I'm too far away to respond, not that I was going to respond if I was closer to him..

I spend the rest of the evening waiting or taking up new orders from the couple that had walked in a few hours ago. Harry didn't say a word to me anymore and neither did I. It's 10PM when Ben told me and Alan it was good for us to clean everything up since there was no one left in the restaurant, and probably no one will walk in at this time so we had to clean the tables and orden the chairs before we were allowed to go. Liz and Paulo already left and since Ben was in the kitchen it only Alan and I were left to clean. Normally I'd be annoyed, mad or scared when I'd be left alone with someone in a room.. but something in Alan made me feel less all of that. I couldn't really figure out why. I am so confused right now.

"Do you go home by bus." Alan asks after ten minutes of silence.

"Uh yeah." I say in a cool tone. I am probably the only 19 year old without a car in my year. I always see people, who I recognize from classes, drive home in cars. I'm always the one walking to the busstop. I think there are about 5 more people of my age waiting for the bus everytime I have to go home..

"Want a lift to your home, I have a car." what. I barely know him, isn't that a bit weird.. I speak before I think.

"Sure" I give him my best smile and he laughs.

"Cool." It can't go wrong. he's a nice guy, right?
