June Winter.
I walk behind Alan on the way to his car thats parked on the parking lot, just around the corner of the restaurant. it's pitch black outside, the only lights that shine are the ones from other buildings. At night, this actually is a terrifying place. You could get killed and no one will notice until the next day. Or maybe even days later since there are never many cars parked here. Alan his small beige Renault and Ben his black range rover are the only parked cars here at the moment. I wish I had a car too.. everything would be so much easier. You'd be everywhere in a matter of time, if the traffic didn't suck. No more minutes of waiting for smelly, over crowded busses with bus-drivers that yell at you when you sit somewhere where you shouldn't. Life would be better. unfortunately, getting your drivers license isn't done in a week or two and isn't really cheap as well.. But thats why I got this job.
"It's this one" Alan stops and unlocks his car. I take a seat in the passenger seat and wait for Alan to start the car. "much warmer here than outsite isn't it" he says, a small giggle escaping from his mouth. I nod and fake a smile. it's also freezing in here, what is he talking about? It stays silent for a while before Alan speaks again. "so, how was your first working day" he asks in the most polite tone ever.
"Alright actually, I expected worse" I say. and I mean it, I did expect my first day of working at 'Pizza Italia' to go a lot worse. I didn't drop a glass, I haven't messed up orders and most important.. I didn't lose my patience.
Alan laughs at my answer. "well you did it alright, I dropped two plates with Pizzas on it in front of costumers" I laugh at his answer this time.
"I'm surprised that didn't happen to me to be honest" I still laugh, we're both clumsy then. After our laughs went silent it stayed silent for a while, I stared outside of the window towards all the streets actually enjoying the view. I find it interesting how cities were build, and how roads were connected to houses. I mean, how did they come up with that and how did they knew they had to build that road so it would connect perfectly to streets and all that. I'm truly amazed by their work.
"It's right there isn't it, your house" I got shaked out of my thoughts by Alan pointing to a street sign in front of us.
"Yeah right there." I answer shortly. I didn't realize we were almost there, was I in the car for so long alrady?
"My house is there" I look to my left to see, somewhere a bit far away, a long street with small beige colored houses.
"Nice" it does look nice, never noticed those houses before. Alan stops infront of the, not really that high, building my apartement is at. Just when I wanted to get out he stops me. I look at him confused and he looks nervous.
"You'll be at work next week again June" Alan asks, still nervous and I am still confused. Just when I'm about to ask him if there's something wrong he leans in and kisses me. what? What is he doing? I can't.. He..STOP! I open my eyes and push him back before opening the door of his car.
"Sorry Alan but I can't do that" before He can say something back I shut the door and walk through the big doors of the building, even more confused than I was in the car. The lift opens and I step in it, leaning my back against the wall and closing my eyes. This was going wrong, what just happened?
