9:00pm

Ring! Ring!

"Hey lily you got a message!" Casedey yelled from the kitchen.

She had just woken up and they were about to start a movie. Lily raced into the kitchen and grabbed her phone to check the message.

Eugene: hey sunshine, how's everything going?

Lily: what do you want?

Eugene: touchy. I just wanted to ask if you're happy with your new job.

Lily: well I don't know I haven't started yet I have to wait for Saturday. And internship not job she said internship. And if it gets me a job then yes I like it.

Eugene: you could've just said yes or no.

Lily: do you need something?

Eugene: no I just want to talk. How's the rest of your day been?

Lily: fine, i guess

Eugene: Just fine? Not good, not great?

Lily: well I haven't had the most eventful time after this morning I've been in my apartment all day.

Lily: but let me ask you something

Eugene: shoot

Lily: why were you acting so weird after the shoot

Eugene: awe does someone care?

Lily: no, and just answer the question

Eugene: well I don't know. I was?

Lily: yes you just completely shut down

Eugene: oh that's weird

Lily: hey listen, it's late I'm tired I'm gonna go

Eugene: it's only 9:20

Eugene: you just don't want to talk to me, am I right

Lily: oh so you can take a hint

Eugene: yes, but I don't listen

Lily: clearly

Eugene: please just stay a bit longer

Lily: why?

Eugene: please

Lily: fine. But let me getting my room so i can call you

Eugene: why can't we just text?

Lily: to much effort

"Hey Casedey can you put a hold on the movie for a bit. I'm gonna do something!" She called out.

"Yeah sure!"

After she had reached her room she dialed Eugene's phone number and not a moment after he picked up.

"Hello!" Eugene's voice rang through the phone.

"Hey." Lily responded unenthusiastically.

"So? How's life. How your job going. How's the kids. Man it's been ages."

"What?" She asked confused.

"It's a joke. Man do you have any sense of humor?" He asked.

"Yes, but you're not funny." She teased.

"Excuse me? I think I'm hilarious."

"Of course you do." She mocked.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Oh nothing you're just a bit full of yourself so it makes sense to why you think you're hilarious." Lily explained.

"I am not full of my self." Eugene defended.

"Yes you are."

"No I'm not."

"Yes you are."

"No."

"Ye-"

"Hey Lily I'm gonna order food what do yo-" Casedey had cut Lily off and was standing in her doorway. "Oh sorry, we're you talking to someone?"

"Yeah but it's fine. Wait so you're ordering food?" Lily asked.

"Get pizza!" Eugene yelled through the phone.

"This doesn't concern you." Lily snapped.

"Who are you talking to?" Casedey asked.

"No one."

"Hi! I'm the one you're room mate had a frisky night with. Did you know she talks in her sleep?" Eugene introduced himself.

"Oh so you're the guy? Nice to meet you mystery man." Casedey greeted.

"Can you guys not?" Lily whined.

"Oh shush. So does the mystery man have a name?"

"Eugene and you?"

"Casedey. And yes I do know she talks in her sleep."

"I do not!" Lily denied.

"Yes you do." Casedey corrected.

"But anyway order pizza!" Eugene said again.

"This doesn't concern you."

"What do you want then?" Casedey asked.

"....pizza." Lily answered under her breath but loud enough for Casedey to hear.

"Cool. Thanks for the suggestion mystery man I really wanted pizza." Casedey announced before getting up and leaving.

"I'm hanging up now." Lily announced.

"Wait!" Eugene called.

"What?"

"Goodbye." He said kindly.

"Yeah bye whatever." And she hung up.
