Chapter 24C: Drama, Drugs and Déjà Vu (C)

I watch Parma leave with a heavy heart. I know what I have said was nasty but I did not expect her to react like that.

I head back into the party to find Luke. Matty and Marissa are no where to be seen but I will search for them later.

There is suddenly a commotion in the hallway and I peer over the heads in the way to see my sister struggling through the door, which is blocked by three boxes of Carlsburg.

"Asshole, I hate him, I hate him! Jessica, why are you playing music so loudly? Who - what the hell?"

"I can explain," I say, pushing through the people in the way to get to her, which is fairly difficult as it seems the second rugby team have arrived.

"Too right you can! You're holding a house party aren't you?" Spits my sister, kicking the box of beer out of her way as she enters the house with three satchels.

"What's this? Why are you back early?"

"I broke up with my boyfriend. That cheating asshole! I know he had something going on with Brittany..."

"You broke up with Joe?"

"Get out of my way!" She yells, stomping up the stairs and to her room. I wait on the hallway, preparing myself for the worst.

A high pitched squeal pierces the air and I see a boy and girl escape the room in their underwear, clutching their clothes.

"Jessica, what the fuck?! Why are my clothes everywhere? What is this?" She screeches, picking a cigarette off of the floor. I step into the room, my hands up in front of me.

"Don't worry, I'll get it cleared up," I say slowly, and it's then her eyes fix in on what I am wearing.

"That's my dress! And - those are my earrings! And they are my shoes! Jessica!"

"Technically it's my dress..."

"I'm getting Dad!" She announces, running down the stairs. I follow after, taking the stairs two at a time and begging and pleading and bribing but to no avail and she too, like Matty, Marissa and Parma disappears into the night.

"Party's over!" I yell, running to the lounge and switching the music off. "Everybody out!"

"Like this party is over, it don't start 'till we arrive!" Yells a voice in the crowd and someone next to me turns the music on again. I switch it off once more, scowling.

"It's over. Everybody out," I say slowly.

The Witham rugby team enter the lounge then, and before I have time to assume my battle stance my own school rugby team huddle in front of me.

"Hey, if the lady says the party is over, it's over," says Denny, who it turns out was the one switching the music on. I give him a confused look and he shrugs. "I didn't know it was them," he says.

"We've only just arrived though," complains the head of the other rugby team, rubbing his hands together and taking a step forward. Immediately my schools rugby team have pounced on him and Jimmy has him pushed against a wall.

"I suggest you leave now. You don't want to cause any trouble now Jack do you?"

"If it involves beating you pussies to the ground then I'm up for it!" Shouts someone at the back and just like that chaos ensues. I am thrown backwards as Denny gets pulled into the midst of it all and people surge forward to escape or even watch the fight on the floor of my lounge. A couple of people even pull their phones out to take photos and video it.
