My heart was pounding and I started to shake.  My fingers wouldn’t keep still, which made it harder to sign out of Facebook in such a hurry.  When you sign out, the people you were chatting with receive notification that you have signed out.  My adrenalin is pumping and I can’t keep still for a second so I start to pace the room, up and down, thinking desperately about how I am going to get myself out of this extremely HOT water...

‘Ohhh, what am I going to do?!’ I stressed to myself, pulling at my hair in an angry way.  My day just keeps on getting worse and worse, and even at 8pm at night, my day is still getting worse!  So now, after the realisation and denial stages, I am now up to the PANIC stage!  I can’t stop talking to myself, going over and over it in my head how this actually happened!  I’m sure I clicked on Private Chat, so how could this have happened….’  It was then that I realized that I must have accidently reversed the function when Dad scared the crap out of me knocked on the door, because I still had the mouse curser on it.

So, what am I going to do?  How am I going to be able to face any of them on Monday?  What will I say to them?

A thousand thoughts went through my mind of every worse case scenario’s there could possibly be.  Well, at least I have the weekend to stew over it some more.  Who knows, maybe given a couple of days, things might just blow over and it might be all forgotten about…like a cooling down period!

I really didn’t want anything else happen to me before the day officially ends at midnight, so, all I want to do right now is just go to bed and try not to think about it too much – until tomorrow that is.  But there’s just one more thing I have to do before I go to bed…

I open the door quietly, trying not to let it creek on the hinges, and quietly snuck out of my bedroom and lightly tip-toed down the hallway, through the dining room and to the lounge room where Mum and Dad were sitting watching TV.  since I snuck out to the lounge room, they don’t know I’m here, so I have to make some additional noise to give them warning that I am coming… so I clear my throat, ‘Ehh-Hh-Hhmmmm’ I gravelled loudly.   Mum turned around and Dad just ignored it.

‘Hi, honey, what’s the matter?’ she asked me.

‘Oh, nothing.’ I replied, standing there right in front of her.

‘Oh, OK then…’ Mum replied back, ‘Well, are you sure?’ she asked.

‘Well… there is something…’  I said uncertainly.

‘Yes?  Well what is it then?’ Mum asked quickly as she was trying to watch her TV show.

‘Oh, it’s nothing really,’ I said, ‘I just wanted to know if I could go with you to the salon tomorrow morning… to help you with anything you need help with…’

‘Really?’  She took her eyes off the TV screen and looked directly at me.  ‘So what bought this on then?’ she asked slightly suspiciously.

’Well… I thought I would try to make up for my punishment by helping you at the shop, that’s all… but if you don’t want me there, then…’ I shrugged my shoulders and made a goofy face look.

‘Of course it’s all right!’ Mum said, smiling at me as if she was starting to make progress with me now that I’m trying to make an effort.  But don’t get too comfy, Mum…

‘OK, cool!’ I said as I started to walk away.

‘We’ll leave at 8.30 in the morning.  Can you be ready for then?’ Mum asked.

‘Yes, OK!’ I replied, ‘I’m going to bed now!  Goodnight!’

‘Don’t I get a kiss goodnight?’ Dad asked.
